[Walking around the deck with her little white kitten Jinksie in her arms, she stops when she comes upon the girl.] Uh... You.. cold? [Curious. Doesn't seem cold out here to Claudia, but some people are more sensitive to that then others.]
No. It's... something from home. [She manages a smile, but it's weak. She knows there's no moon on the barge, but she still can't bring herself to let it go.]
[She nods, a sympathetic smile given as she touches the SD card around her neck, shifting the kitten in her arms. She leans just slightly against the railing to look down at the sea of stars.] View's pretty nifty, huh? [Glances back over at her.] Getting, uh... acclimatized to your new surroundings yet?
Woods? Yeah, I can imagine... Sort of. Not exactly very woodsy, myself. [Despite having been an elf for a period of time - it was a virtual elf, so, not the same thing.]
Can't say I really was, either. Aaand I'd be lying if I said you'll probably get used to it. There is no guarantee that you will. I have to admit though, I kind of have? But I'm around weird crap on a daily basis, so. [Headtilt.] You got any technology in your world? You know, computers, electricity, et cetera?
[So it would seem.] Soo.. no, in other words. I probably should have guessed that by the "woods" talk. Don't worry, there are other people around here that don't know much about electricity, either. Me, on the other hand? I'm hooked on it.
[She laughs at that, and shakes her head.] Uh, no. It's... Like lightning, but on a smaller scale? That's really the simplest way to explain it, but it's more complicated than that. Basically electricity is using that lightning as a power source... To give energy to things.
I like working with it. Building things. [With Jinksie squirming in her arms, she lets him down so he can lay across her feet instead. Oh, cats.
She gets an idea and takes the SD card off from around her neck to show it to Red.] See this? It holds information. It's written in its own sort of language, but using electricity it's possible to translate it into something you can understand.
