Considering your 'peers', I wouldn't enjoy it too much. They're as fickle as you are, and likely to find a new pet to put on a perch when you bore them.

I could care less about you, Crane, but I am, of course, curious about Jon.

[Crane sighs and rubs at his eyes, obviously tired and lacking sleep.] Jon's having a grand old time. He's happy to be helping. Doing some good in ridding the city of lawbreakers.

Oh, I know the feeling. When you spend any length of time locked away, you tend to jump at the first chance of freedom.

I think that's why Gotham is the way it is now. Lots of people jumping.

I`d make some crack about this being some untapped need for sexual dominance but I think you`re just insane.

That might be true if I had any sexual desire whatsoever.

I'm sure it can't, but I might as well enjoy it while it does. When Gotham goes back to normal, I'll hide away in some little rat hole until it's safe to come out again. And when I do, I'll thrive, like I always have.

I won't be so arrogant as to say that Gotham can't survive without me, but I do provide a small service. I'll always have people wanting what I have.

I forget sometimes that you're not ambitious, like the rest of us are. You certainly have more room to play with your plants now, I suppose.
