To show each other how we feel, that we appreciate the other person.

The small girl took a moment to chew on the notion before she answered him. "No, not really. Do dogs count?"

[Another friendly individual was always welcome.] It is very strange but it does seem nice. [She was rewarded with a small smile finally.]

Of course, that means you care about someone. At least I think so.

Well that's why people hug. It's affection and we show that to people we care about.

Mark is my fiance. We're getting married in December.

It's very nice. It's always a way to comfort another person. [She tilts her head to the side a bit.] You ever been hugged?

"I think so, he was very nice." Maybe that was why she saw more people smiling when she snuck out to explore.

No, maybe they do not like them.

When you ask someone to marry you and they say yes they become your fiance. Yep, I'm going to get married.

Yes, but I don't think the others do either. It is okay though because I have Gavin. He's nice.

[Charisa felt a pang of pain in her chest. She hadn't been shown much love at the girls age either.]

Nothing. I mean it just sounds funny, Sam. I don't know anyone who has been married before. [She was having a hard time explaining herself because it was a new concept to her.]

Maybe I can ask Father when I see him again. It really is important?

Never? Really? Well, I'm going to get married and I think you should come.

Everyone should be hugged and held and told they are loved.

Because we care. It's a way to say 'I love you' when you can't find the words.

Thing is, some people get married, some don't. It's all about what makes you happy, remember that, okay? Why not you? You're like one of the coolest people I know.

I think people would be a lot nicer.

[She doesn't mind. Tilting her head to the side, she watches her a minute before answering.]

Because it is new, miss. [She resumed chewing on the corner of her lip silently, eyes still fixed on the new face.]

"They are! Fozzie helped me dig a hole too." Morgan is finally rewarded with a smile too.

[She did not want to make anyone sad, but she was curious. She did not understand why when she saw her own kind do little of it.]

No. They are busy.

I will try but it still sounds sort of funny. I guess if you are so happy it really is a good thing though.

They have important jobs, so I think they are.

[She is not really sure how to feel about it really. It would be nice though.]

Are you given a lot of hugs?

[Her face falls a bit while she shakes her head.]

Not so much these days.

It is okay. I have Gavin.

[She knew what sad looked like. It was awkward but she would really rather make someone feel better. Not shy in the least, Ara wrapped her arms around the woman as high as she could reach.]

You can have mine, miss.

[She gave a small smile down to the girl. Charisa ran a hand through her hair, while her mind focused on the conversation at hand. Sometimes hugs were just nice and a reassurance that somebody cared for you, that's when she felt small arms wrapping around her.]

[She lets an arm wrap around the child's shoulders.]

Ah. [Her smile is just a little sadder. Hugs are a vital component of life.] I hope someone is doing something about that.
