I live in LA now, don't get back east very often.

Oh, I never been there before. I take it the climate is different. [Who knew, she could actually make a small conversation for once that did not involve fighting.]

It will, then winter will be close behind... The snow is worth seeing.

LA? Sun, sand, and surf, mostly. So, not like New York, no.

I like the snow. Not slogging to work in it, but curling up with hot chocolate and watching it come down, or getting out and playing in it when you don't have to work? Oh yeah.

The closest you will come to sand is what little beach you can find here. It does sound interesting. [Sort of, there was something good in the way it sounded. It had been awhile for her.]

You would not do well in Russia then.

Not as much as California, and the water's usually a lot colder in NY fall and winter, but hey, you can join a Polar Bears Club. Think there's one on Coney Island, actually.

Never been to Russia, but no, probably wouldn't.
