Four strong wills all trying to have their way. I sometimes think that for all my wit and all of Salazar's cunning, the shrewdest of all is Helga. In her House she keeps the hard workers, the patient ones, and she herself is much the same. And there is place in her big heart for them all. She makes people love her, and what is that if not power?

It is the most valuable power of all. It makes those who can help her whenever she is in need.

[ In a way, this is how the sponsors work, isn't it? The most loved one has the best chances of winning, because he can easily find the most sponsors. The boy tribute from District 4 from a few years ago was a proof.

I think I agree with you. I am supposed to be the cleverest witch of my age, and I cannot seem to figure out how to do it.

I believe it is the curse of knowledge - you know more than others and react according to this, while a less intelligent person might seem more trusting and thus open, and warmer.
