Fortunate to have you. I'd still be dressing like I lived in a barn. [ He had been disguising in whatever clothes he could scavenge at the time of their meeting. It wasn't quite a horrific style in the eyes of the common man, but to Alice--godawful. ]
[She chuckled, that smirk quickly developing into a radiant smile.] I think I'm the fortunate one.
[She leaned up, placing a kiss on the tip of his nose. It was true, she might've gasped when she first met Jasper, even if she had seen it all coming. It was still different to be right there in front of you. It was rather.. interesting, how he had been dressed, but Alice fell in love with the man underneath.]
[For just the briefest of moments, her eyelids flickered at the always loved touch from her Jasper. At the mention of Rosalie, though, she let out a faint huff.]
I really don't find it that ridiculous, honestly. Also, Bella is insisting that she has enough clothes to fill her closet and I strongly disagree. [Just remember, you started this discussion, Jasper dear.] No woman in her right mind has enough clothes and all Bella wants to fill her closet with are jeans and sneakers. A woman is represented by what she wears, Jasper.
[ He nods along, compliantly, touched with humor. Wars, he can win, closets, he will not toe that battle.
Besides, he agrees, in a general sense. Irrational or no. Alice should have everything. He only nudges in when he suspects it may become a matter of life, death, and Prada. ] Perhaps Bella hasn't found herself yet. She's very, very young. [ It isn't quite that he disapproves of the age difference, but for all his liking of the girl, her mind was still too fresh in the world. ]
And Rosalie merely enjoys getting a rise out of you. She'd argue the bricks in the wall, when she's in a mood. One of these I can do something about, and the other, [ Namely, Bella. His ability has no pull in the way of fashion sense. ] Needs your touch.
I believe I will pass on a trip to the mall, but I will call in a quote on that renovation. [ Oh, you romantic beast, you. ]
[Jasper, the voice of reason in an otherwise busily moving thought process that is Alice's mind. No matter what the topic or her stance on said topic, it was like he could chime in and make her see - just somewhat - clearly. Though, when it came to her way and fashion, she was slightly stubborn. Yes, just slightly.] True, she is only eighteen. She hasn't been around even half a century to truly appreciate the fashions and colors that the world has to offer.
[The topic of Rosalie, though was so very different. Bella was new to all this and even though Bella and Alice were best friends, Rosalie and Alice bashed heads on some things while on others completely agreed. Closet space, apparently was a head clasher.] Is that your way of saying you will speak with Rosalie? [Even after calling for that quote, which had Alice again smirking. In her eyes, Jasper doing even something so simple was romantic. Really, there wasn't much he could do in Alice's eyes that would be wrong.]
But okay, I won't beg you or drag you to the mall with me. I can make it an alone trip because I know I won't be able to get Bella to come, but if I show up with items already bought, she won't have the heart to turn me away. [Perhaps because she already saw it and because she knows Bella.]
[ Alice is bold and beautiful, and a quickness that shatters Jasper's tendencies toward the static, the traditional. In the least, he offers something solid. He will not step without her, while the world turns. He's the unpredictable of the Cullen lot, but he steadies for her.
Over-romantic, in notion. But tried and true, in fact. ] She has time yet to be your student. Our gift to her.
[ The tone is a bit reluctant, but. Bella has what Bella wants, when she has Edward.
Rosalie, however. ] I will--attempt. To speak with Rosalie. She finds my charms less charming when she believes I'm tweaking her feelings. [ Which he would. ] As I prefer the bulldozing in this house be done professionally, and not by her, I will look into it.
[ He pauses, a quirk of a smile playing, as she goes on, and on. Then, ] The mall, Alice, is, you know.
I would, but.
That's a lot of people. [ They're cattle in a pen in that tight proximity. ]
[Alice decided to go off-topic when it was concerning Bella because Alice was going to get what Alice wanted. Which was Bella with a better wardrobe and one that consisted of more than gray and black. What was wrong with some color and style? It had Alice dumbfounded sometimes.
She figured at some point too, that Rosalie would come around. Maybe a gift from the mall would do the trick. She was about to say something else about Rosalie, though, when she knew the topic of even thinking of taking Jasper to the mall did something.
Giving him a soft smile, she slowly lifted a hand to cup his cheek while leaning up to press a kiss to the corner of his lips.] I know and I was just teasing. I would never force you to go there. [A smirk then tugged at her lips.] I can just talk about everything once I return. I'll even buy you a little something. [And just like that, in a flash Alice was on his back with her arms and legs wrapped around him, her chin settling on his shoulder.] I love you.
[ Well, he was going to steal a fuller kiss outright, but with that display of prowess--
He doesn't answer, but tilts his head towards hers, a hand to her hair, to her cheek, the other hand finding one of hers wrapped around him. The simple closeness speaks volumes. ]
[Every single little touch had her smiling where she was, her fingers tangling with his once his hand found her own. She adored the closeness and quite honestly, as long as he was near, she didn't need a single word uttered because his actions always spoke louder than words. So, she kept the silence for now and turned her head to nuzzle her nose against his neck.]

We'll agree to disagree.
All this talk-- [ Of shopping and passionate fashion.
Jasper touches her temple, brushes the hair over her ear. His tone is teasing, more or less. ] Is Rosalie giving you a hard time?
You asked for a renovation on the closet space again?
