Perhaps I could help you find it? [Betty adjusting her glasses on her nose as she holds her clipboard close to herself. What was this man doing in her lab anyway?]
"It's something far bigger than change or a set of keys," The Doctor isn't sure how he ended up on this junker of a transport either. He's anything but amused with the situation that he found himself in. There's a huff and a sigh. "Why does this stuff always happen to me?"
He looks all over the large cargo hold of Serenity, and there's a glare. "Nope, the TARDIS isn't here, and I wonder if you have seen a blue box that says, police on it anywhere on this ship."
[ The Doctor has yet to change his own look to something a little more modern, so he still has long hair and a velvet coat. ] The TARDIS! I know it was right here, and I swear if it was Straxus, I'm going to!!! I don't know what I'm going to do, but I'm going to...
Your keys perhaps? Maybe something you needed right now? [Betty attempts to be helpful and jog his memory.] Did you need something from our laboratory?
My keys, I know where those are.[ The Doctor had his TARDIS key with him, he always keeps his keys with him, but the TARDIS has some serious bad luck sometimes. ] No, it's something a lot bigger than a set of keys.
It's blue. [ He makes the measurements of the TARDIS with his hands. ] And, about this big! And, it says 'police call box' on it.
The Doctor lowered his head, and he goes to ask. "I know that I'm on a spaceship, but do you happen to know where and when I might be." The Doctor is a little disoriented, and he's still trying to regain his senses.
"Name's The Doctor, I just need to find my TARDIS. I'd hate to see what would happen if she would end up in the wrong hands."
Harper tilted his head for a moment as he tried to figure out what to say. "Couldn't really say, I was pulled here from the 53rd century , and it's a safe bet that it's around three thousand years before my time."
The name caught him off guard though, as he thought he knew the one called Doctor. "So...uh, already met someone else by that name but he didn't look like you."
Yes, yes it does. She's blue and about this big. [ He makes the motions with his hands. ] This tall. There are also the words, 'police call box' written on her.
I didn't forget that. [ He tilts his head to the side, a little bit surprised at how young he looked. ] And, it was due to your hideous driving.
[ He has had enough with the arguing; The Doctor follows after himself over to the TARDIS. ] And, I hated what you did with the interior! [ Okay, he has room for more arguing. ]
[Keys and cellphone is what she's usually forgetting.]
Blue? A blue box? [Betty looks puzzled and then remembers, pointing to an empty corner.] Maintenance was moving things around earlier, someone had put a large phone box there....
Maybe the butler stole it when you were distracted. [Her senses aren't sharp enough to pick up who this is, not yet. But really, looking like something out of an Oscar Wilde story? He did know that they were in the twenty-first century, right? Even Koschei knew that.]
"...I'll have to take a poke at the ship's logs for a proper date then," The Doctor grumbled, and he slipped his hands through his hair in frustration about being pulled out from his timeline. "I'm going to say one thing, I'm sure the Time Lords are responsible for this. I don't know what happened to President Romana, but I for one disagree with how they are doing business lately."
He removed his hand from his hair, and he waved it in the air. "That tends to happen, same person but we just look a bit different." And, that just seemed to make matters seem a lot more complicated.
Harper stood frozen in place for a moment as he recalled another man he had met before, and the memories he had witnessed. As the pieces fell into place a sad look crossed the little mans face.
"Doctor, I am so sorry! I didn't put two and two together til now, and I should have been quicker then that. I'm a freaking idiot Doc! I uh, I've seen the Citadel, and the fields of crimson grass...I know what it's like to watch your home be destroyed, and I'm sorry that I didn't put it together sooner."
That's if the butler is even a butler. [ And, universal differences will prevent him from him believing anything. Time, time is something he's not bad with, yet. ]
This gets a laugh from The Doctor. "Destroyed?! The great civilization of the Time Lord's destroyed?! And, I don't think you would of been capable of visiting. The Time Lords have always been a little xenophobic, and non-Gallifreyians are not always welcomed there."
He can't help but to laugh a little bit more. "All of this is absolute nonsense! I'm very sorry, but it is. Oooooh, I needed that laugh. You don't happen to have any more jokes to tell me, do you?"
The look of surprise on Harpers face was evident when he heard the Doctor laughing at him. He hadn't expected that reaction at all, not after his last conversation with the man who called himself Doctor...as he Time Lord spoke Seamus felt his heart sink as he realized that he was speaking to the same man, but from a much earlier time period, and Harper had blundered into it like a child. With a soft sigh the little man tried to sort out just what to say. So he lied...
"Yep you caught me Doc, figured you could use some cheering up, I'm just sorry for the lack of tact on my part when it came to choosing the subject matter!"
The Doctor came across this with Molly, with the strangest hallucination he had. "That's a horrible joke, the last I knew, Gallifrey was still standing. Sure, the old farts are corrupt and very set in their ways, but Gallifrey has not fallen to anything."
He held out his hand, and the delighted smile is still there on his face. "I needed the laugh, so thanks for the pick me up."
I doubt we would forget half of our encouters, and no we couldn't forget our little mishap. I would ask how that went for you, but then we would be interfering with the timelines.
[ The Doctor steps inside of the TARDIS, and he takes a good look around. He sighs. ] It's too flashy. [ It doesn't stop him from heading off to the command console, as if he owns the thing. ] I do like the homely feel of my TARDIS interior.

No, I don't think it was Straxus. Are you sure you didn't leave her in the car park?

*Never the less, the Doctor led the way around back to his TARDIS, well the same TARDIS he supposed, just later in her own time stream.*

*Then he turned to glare at his younger self* My hideous driving? Two people need to participate in a collision.
*But that doesn't stop him from opening the doors to reveal the blue interior* Then you'll be happy to know it's different.

Dr. Elizabeth Ross, chemist. A pleasure to meet you Dr. Smith.
Here, this way... [She leads the way out of the labs and into the corridor.] What's your specialty? If you don't mind my asking?
