Holy--! [Cody launches himself after her, swimming as fast as he can, though there's no chance he can catch her.]

[Nope. But Laura will be waiting for him at the designated spot. She laughs softly]

What kept you?

[syreni]

[He takes a moment to catch his breath.] Hey, I swam my fins out. Not my fault. I'm only half fish, not half comet.

[laura_kent]

Super speed. [She reminds him, with another soft laugh]

Still want to see the other powers?

[syreni]

Heck yeah, I do!

[laura_kent]

Okay. Next is super strength.

[Laura looks around the small peninsula where they are located. Then finds what she is looking for, a large bolder. She goes over to it, and lifts it over her head. With one finger.]

[syreni]

[Cody whistles and applauds]

[laura_kent]

[Laura puts it back down]

Okay I am feeling like a show-off. You got any powers you want to share?

[syreni]

Well, you've already seen the obvious ones, but... [He holds his hands a few inches apart, and a spark of electricity leaps across his fingertips.]

[laura_kent]

Ohh very cool. How much electricity can you produce?

[syreni]

Enough to restart someone's heart. [He knows that the hard way.]

[laura_kent]

[Laura can sense a story there. But doesn't push any information]

That actual might help demonstrate another one of my abilities. [Laura holds out her hand to him]

Go ahead, try to shock me.

[syreni]

If you're sure...

[He touches her hand, and sends out a small spark.]

[laura_kent]

[Laura, like her dad has invulnerability, though it is not quite fully developed yet. Still, with this the electricty casades against her skin, without causing any pain]

It sort of tickles.

[syreni]

Tickles? Huh. Okay, my turn.

[He swims underneath the nearby docks and jumps out of the water, hanging from the underside of the dock by the palms of his hands.]

This ...looks more impressive with legs, I think.

[laura_kent]

You stick to things. That is cool.

[A small pause]

Can't you turn your tail back into legs?

[syreni]

[He climbs around to sit on top of the dock.]

If I get dry enough, I can. I haven't had to in a long time, though.

[laura_kent]

[She moves to sit besides him]

Anything in particular bringing you back to the surface?

[syreni]

I was curious, really. Missed my parents, and my friends.

[laura_kent]

I have some younger siblings who are adopted. Drake is starting to look for his birth mom.

[syreni]

That can be hard, I bet. I was lucky. Mine found me.

[laura_kent]

I worry about him.

Are a lot of cool stuff undersea?

[syreni]

Don't. I'm sure everything'll work out.

Oh yeah, totally. There's whales and fish, and manta rays. Shark Week's got nothing on the real thing.

[laura_kent]

I wish I could see it all. It must be amazing.

[syreni]
