[ Mata Nui pauses in examining his reformed body to blink at Tony and raise a single baffled eyebrow. ] I do not understand what you mean. I see my body as well as I see yours; it simply should not exist. It did not exist.
forgive any lack of canon familiarity, tony couldn't resist
[As far as Tony is concerned, this is some kind of random AI personality mutation encased in a pretty shell. He doesn't have any problem with that, per say. It's not his design, after all.]
Ah, I see, this is an existential crisis. No problem, carry on. I couched Jarvis through one of these a few years back. [Or was it that he caused it? hmmm.]
[Not... too far from the truth. Depending on who you ask.]
An existential crisis... perhaps. [He won't ask who or what Jarvis is.] Or the Great Beings have seen fit to return me to this body... [He's half-talking to himself.
He looks around now, eyebrow-ridges lowered in confusion.] ... Where am I?
Religious believes, now that's an interesting program.
[Tony snaps his fingers together and brings up a holographic map... pretty much just because he can.] This is what we call Earth. I know, the name could use a little work, but well- you can't have everything.
[Highlighting a specific area, Tony adds 'You Are Here' just to be helpful]
Program-- [Mata Nui narrows his eyes, but otherwise ignores the comment for now.
He tilts his head and examines the image of the planet.] Interesting. A clearly habitable planet, though not one I studied. Are those glyphs the name of where we are on-- Earth?
Astoundingly habitable, actually. Pretty much filled to the brim with locals. [Tony wasn't exactly sure he liked where this conversation was heading. He had a bad history with Aliens, you see.]
That was just giving you an exact location. Earth has like, dozens of languages. [Or more, you know, but facts that Tony considered important didn't tend to be linguistic ones.]
Fascinating. [Perhaps a spot of accidental Spock quoting in Worf's voice will throw Tony off the trail... no?]
You are quite a technologically advanced people. Or is this illusion magical in nature? [The whole 'having a body' thing doesn't seem about to change, so Mata Nui's curiosity is taking over... like trying to trace the hologram to its projector, if it has one at all.]

S'all right, still fun!
