It was still worth a shot. [ Science has a very special place in Bruce's heart. It's part of how he makes sense of the world; the aforementioned measuring, quantifying, giving names and dimensions to things. Curiosity is a huge part of that. The why and who and how. He's not quite ready to throw in the towel and admit some things are completely beyond the scope of comprehension.
