[She nodded her head yes] It's hard to work out something by yourself, takes two in a relationship, if that's what we are calling it?
[Laurel moved to put the bottle down, then turned to look at him, smirked slightly as a idea formed in her head.] Care to take a spin on the mat? I won't hurt you.
I, uh... [Oliver's lie-generator starts to rev up again. He hasn't had to lie to anybody's face for some time.] That's probably not the best idea. [He pulls at his shoulders trying to shake loose some of the tension.]
[A smile creeps over his face.] I'm not scared for me. I'm scared for you. [Oliver follows her to the treadmills and leans against one casually.] I don't fight nice very well.
A fact that I'll never forget. [He sighs.] It's-it's not the tricks I'm afraid of. [He's afraid that all the unbridled rage that burns in him will lash out again. That adrenaline will somehow trump his fondness for Laurel and that all the monsters that made him into a killing machine will make him underestimate a blow.]
[She picks up the speed some. Laurel knows she should ask where, perhaps demand to know, but she'd not going to.] That's nice, any excuse is better then none.
[Knowing that he's narrowly escaped the inquisition, he lets it go, absently biting his lip while still gazing up at her. He quietly watches for a moment.]
[She was trying to ignore him, but he was making it hard. The last time she had seen him was at the funeral and there was so many things left unsaid between them. She zoned him out the best she could and started to run faster, but then she huffed out] Just say it, Oliver.
[She turned her head to the side then turned off the machine. Her chest was raising a little and Laurel found herself breathless.] Grow up, Ollie.
[Laurel spun around, hopping off and heading over to her things, she wasn't about to fight with him in a gym, even if hardly anyone around.] It's nice to see you home, perhaps I'll see you around again.
[Thankfully that worked. He did not follow her this time, aware that he's staved off something that shouldn't happen in public for now.] I'm not going anywhere now. Its time I started fixing things.
[She turned look at him, just staring at him and then moved closer to him. Her voice was low, so it wouldn't draw any attention. ] Fix things? Within the city, right? Some things aren't going to be easy to fix.
[She swallowed to those eyes. She loved this man, always have, Tommy death was a blow to her as well as him, didn't help that he had left without a word.] Ollie.
[Laurel moved closer now her hand touched his arm] For other things to work, you have to to more then just be here.
Lets just- [He sighed.] Let's start there. [All the feigned warmth drained from him for a moment when she touched him and a haunted hollowness was all that remained in his eyes for only that instant.]
[She didn't like that she had caused the reaction, she didn't like his words. Laurel leaned up, kissed his cheek and the pulled away from him.] I don't think we should start anything. You have other matters to handle, Oliver and I...I have work.
HI! I'm sorry I fell off the map for... ever.
No worries! Glad to see your back!
Hey yourself.

I should go now. [Laurel stepped away from him, grabbed her stuff.]

Oh, and Laurel? [He risks grabbing her attention one last time.]
