Okay, the gentleman next to her is talking to himself. Presumably. That's Jennifer's conclusion after his first sentence (and one cursory glance from her), but after the second, she begins to wonder if he's expecting some sort of response from someone.

He probably isn't, and she should probably ignore him, but his faint accent rather reminds her of home.

"Well, they say the first step is admitting you have a problem," she ventures, not unkindly.
