[The witch Selene had transported him somewhere, in an effort, no doubt, to get rid of his influence in the Hellfire Club. So he'd found himself in this strange, primitive land, rent by war. That was when the horde of monstrous fools had found him and tried to take him prisoner.
Aragorn is going to find him standing amid a vast pile of dead orcs, as well as a dead troll. His clothes have been rent and torn, and he's positively covered in the dark blood of the orcs, though any injuries of his own look like mere scratches.
Aragorn will note that the stranger doesn't seem to have any armour, nor weapon. And yet it looks like he just killed all of these creatures himself.]
Interesting is one word for it, I suppose.
At least you're human-looking. Hopefully you know where the hell I've ended up.
[Aragorn studies the man carefully hand on his sword hilt. This man is not of Middle Earth, but the ranger isn't sure yet how dangerous he is. He moves closer ready for anything. ]
You are in Middle Earth near the kingdom of Rohan. I am Aragorn a ranger. May I ask your name stranger?
[And likewise for Sebastian. They're actually of similar age. He wishes that Tessa were here to provide a fuller analysis, but no doubt Selene wanted them to be kept separate. He stands up fully, cracking out a kink in his back, before facing the ranger.]
I am Sebastian Shaw. I come from a city called New York, and was pulled into this realm by foul sorcery.
Immediately after I was transported here, I was set upon by these fiendish creatures.
[There's a thin predatory smirk.]
Much more to their woe than my own, as you can see.
[Aragorn can respect the man's work and he wonders if the army of Isengard had been warned of this of his coming because this was quite the welcome party to send for one person. ]
I know of no place callled New York, but I believe someone was tolf of your coming.
[Sebastian is most certain that, somehow, they were warned of his coming. Just as he is fairly certain they underestimated what Selene told them about him, or they would have send something other than brutish thugs.]
Because I've been transported to another world entirely ... and I'm quite certain Selene did tell whomever sent those beasts about my arrival.
[It's an interesting situation, and the witch chose well. Here, his money, his connections, mean absolutely nothing. What he has is his native wit and mutant powers.
Then again, not many men could lift a troll off the ground and use it as a bludgeon to massacre orcs.]
Then we must get to the Golden Hall and speak to Gandalf the White. If anyone will know what is to be done to get you home it will be him. Not to mention it is not safe to be so exposed in these troubled time.
[Aragorn whistles and a huge black horse trots up nosing him gently.]
I take it he is some sort of magician. I would like to speak to him, then.
[He looks over at the horse.]
Well enough, yes.
[He wasn't going to make a cavalry corps anytime soon, but he'd learned the basics of riding in Texas. Harry's father, being a cowboy at heart, had insisted.]
[Sebastian leaps up on the horse with ease. Hopefully this Gandalf wasn't too far away. Sebastian wanted to get back to his world as soon as possible so he could destroy the witch for having sent him here.]
Good. How far from here is he? You'll forgive me when I say that I would like to return home as soon as at all possible.
I understand. Our war is not yours. The Golden Hall is an hour's ride away.
You can rest there and speak with Gandalf, but I will warn you sir that his
mind is troubled already and your answer may not some quickly.
No doubt. I imagine it will not be an easy answer. I know not how powerful this Gandalf is, but Selene, the witch who sent me here, is a powerful sorceress indeed. She will not have made it easy.
I would appreciate a bath and a hot meal very much, but if I must wait, I'd rather spend the time destroying those vermin than sitting around waiting. Inactivity doesn't suit me well.
I feel like crack.

This will be fun!

Can you ride?

[Aragorn springs onto the horse with ease and rides closer to his new companion offering the man his hand to help boost him up.]
Gandalf is the White Wizard the most powerful of his order. He will know how to help you.

[He had unfinished business with Selene.]

[Aragorn gets the horse in motion into a firm gallop.]
I for one would welcome the help we have been outnumbered greatly in recent battles.
