[Carol wakes up at the knock, scrubs the sleep from her eyes, and goes to answer her door. She glances at the clock while she passes. Which asshole bad guy has decided to carry out their plan at 4 am? That's just rude.
Still, she opens it and blinks at the woman outside her door.] Natasha? What's going on?
[ You know it's not good when it comes across at 4am.
It's even worse when the Widow shows up on your doorstep, her lip split and clutching at her side. (She's not bleeding onto the front door, which is only a testament to the shit job she'd been able to pull while on the move.)
[ Natasha Romanoff at his front door, sporting a split lip and a small wound at her forehead near her hairline, and she looks like she was 'just in the neighborhood'.
Y-Yeah of course. [Jasper steps aside, letting her in and then shuts the door behind her, making sure it's secure]
Have you been compromised? [He's heading for a cupboard, and digs out a medical kit] Bathroom's over there if you wanna use it. [he passes her the kit, looking at the wound] What happened?
I need to stay here for two hours, and then I'm going to need to leave.
[ A beat. She likes Carol, and as a quasi-friend (Natasha has few of those) not telling her the whole story while taking refuge in her own house feels unfair. Then again: life is what it is.
She slips past her, tonguing the cut on her lip, making a straight beeline for Carol's bathroom.
[Carol's known Natasha long enough to know that if Nat doesn't offer up the explanation, Carol won't press further.
She closes the door and follows the other woman to her bathroom.]
Got it. Can I get you anything?
[She has a couple of basic first aid stuff, but ever since she got her powers - which includes a healing factor - she stopped carrying much medicine and bandages.]
