I do know that. But I also know that there are many interpretations of what it means in accordance with different religions and beliefs. But how, for instance, does one know whether or not one has a soul?

Perhaps it is the mere fact that you wonder if you do have one. It is a higher form of thinking, that kind of curiosity.
