It makes me look like a complete fool. And, I have know idea how I developed a like for them. [ Of course, it would have to play a role in the two meeting one another. ] Just this regeneration isn't a big fan of silly hats.
The new regeneration, I'm not sure I like it. He's like a wind-up toy, or that pink bunny with a battery plugged into his back. [ He's not much of an improvement, but the Eleventh regeneration, is just odd.
The Doctor takes the fez off his head, and he stares at it. ] I mean, we had our share of hats, but nothing this silly.
[ The Doctor yanks the fez from off his head, and he stares at it with an unhappy look on his face. Without much more ado, The Doctor goes to place the hat damn thing on Rose's head. ]
Or, I look one of those monkeys, an organ grinder's monkey. Blimey, I really don't want to know how fezzes became a thing when I regenerated.
Good! I would hate to be caught dead in one of these things. [ He whips the fez off of his head, and he glares at the repulsive thing. ] And, what hat is that? And, I've been known to wear my share of hats in the past.
[Rose is all smiles, amused at the Doctors apparent distaste of his next regeneration's style, but she rolls her eyes dryly when the fez is placed on her head.]
And bowties, too. He's not really all that different from you, though.
I think it looks better sitting in someone's attic. [ The Doctor absently muses about the fez. ] Bowties are not ties! And, even my last regeneration had a bit of fashion sense!
We're nothing alike the two of us, well there are some things, but... [ The Doctor refuses to admit that Rose is right. ] And, a necktie isn't a bowtie!
[ The Doctor just groans. ] I know, I know, I know... It still would be nice if you gave me a tiny clue about my future.
Parties? I do love a good party that has been a constant with my regenerations. [ He steps back with a look on his face when River brings up a wedding. ]
OH! You mean a fancy hat! I've dressed up before, but never with a fancy hat when it comes to this regeneration.
[ The Doctor takes the horrible contraption off of his head, and he looks at it with a scowl. ] Of course, it is not mine! I don't do hats, and if I did it wouldn't be this one!
The more clues I give you, the more curious you'll be! I know you!
[She rolls her eyes a little at that face he makes.]
Don't look so frightened, sweetie. I know you're not much for weddings - neither am I, actually - but it was, or rather will be, for some friends. Wasn't even the actual ceremony come to think of it. Just the reception.
There you were. All dressed up and ready to dance.
