[She's very excited, practically chirping as she speaks, and she takes the blue-haired man by his hand and tugs him out into the courtyard, where a freshly fallen bed of snow awaits their perusal.]
Wow...it's beautiful, isn't it? And no one's even trampled on it yet! We're the first ones!
I think Olaf has more friends than you and I combined, Kristoff. Have you seen him with the townspeople? He's practically a celebrity! [she says with a bright, bubbly burst of laughter, tucking the singular strand of white-blonde hair behind her ear.]
We can make one for us, though! A snowman for just you and I, Kristoff. Hmmm? What do you say?
He's too sweet to hate anyone! I think you could learn a few things from him, grumpypants.
[She's only teasing, of course, hence the playful nudge she gives to his shoulder and the jesting utterance of her preferred nickname for the ice harvester. Then, she's clasping her hands together and rubbing them, her eyes lighting up as she surveys the untouched expanse of pure-white snow laid out in front of them.]
Alright...let's start! You can do the bottom half of the body, I'll do the top, and then we'll both collaborate for the head! Channel Olaf!
[And with that, she's trudging out into the snow that's almost up to her knees, nearly stumbling over her feet as she reaches for the hem of her cloak and holds it up as high as she can.]
[Anna beams when he whistles, her bright eyes flickering away from the snow and meeting his when he begins to speak about his friends.]
Have them come and visit you in Arrendele! We take very kindly to visitors, as you undoubtedly no, and--they can stay in the castle! Unless you're in the mood to throw snowballs at them, of course, in which you'd need to head back outside. But why would you ever want to stay indoors when the weather is as beautiful as it is?
[Unable to restrain herself, Anna is bounding away and into the snow, her arms spread wide and her eyes happily squeezed shut as she twirls, nearly falling over her own feet in the process.
Yeah, she still hasn't managed that whole 'grace' thing.]
Come on, Sonic! We can't build a snowman if you're going to stand there like a statue!
[Anna loves animals, and cats are no exception--especially when they're as cute as the little one that's staring up at her right now.
Is he curious, or is that just his face? Only one way to find out!
Adjusting her winter cloak, Anna bends down and offers the back of her hand to the cat who's stumbled into her courtyard, making a small, soft sound beneath her breath.]
My name is Anna, little cat. Would you like to stay for a while?
[He doesn't talk with his lips like humans do, his voice emanates from the glowing collar around his neck. And he sounded just as indignant as a cat could.]
I'm hardly a kitten. [But he will sniff the back of her hand politely, she does smell rather nice for a human.] Nice to meet you, Anna. I wouldn't mind watching if you plan on making a snow man.
[she laughs, and then stops, tapping her chin contemplatively as she deliberates over the size of their snowman...or snowmen, if they're so inclined.]
I'm thinking we should make them...big! Bigger than Olaf, and taller than both you and I! Not you and I combined, of course, because we'd need Elsa for that, but...big!
[Nodding determinedly, she bends down and scoops up a large handful of snow, using her palms to shape it into a ball-like shape.]
[She squeaks, and then jumps when she hears a voice coming from the only other presence in the courtyard: the cat. Blinking owlishly, Anna is understandably startled, her mouth opening and closing repeatedly without ever managing to say a single word.]
Did you just--did you just speak?!
[Considering that she kicked the last creature that surprised her by being able to speak, Anna thinks that she's doing rather well.]
Excuse me? My face isn't grumpy, it's ruggedly handsome.
[Okay, so maybe a little grumpy, but he's been a lot less grumpy since meeting her. He rolls his eyes lightly at her words and as she goes trudging off, looking for some perfect snow for snowman-building.
Almost as if on cue, he suddenly feels a nudge from behind, and a pointy-edged nudge at that. Turning, he's not surprised to see Sven, and he smiles, shaking his head.]
I'm going, I'm going.
[He heads after Anna in all that snow. Clearly Elsa had been getting a little away with herself lately, but he didn't mind. He was very impressed with the Queen's ice sculptures, after all.]
Your face is the very epitome of grumpy, Kristoff.
[That doesn't mean that she doesn't like it, of course, and it most certainly doesn't mean that she doesn't find it ruggedly handsome. Especially when she's waking up to it in the morning or seeing it right before she falls asleep at night.
She doesn't notice Sven nudging his 'master' (she uses the term lightly, because she's fairly certain that the reindeer is just as in charge as Kristoff is), but she perks up when she sees that Kristoff is joining her, beaming and waving him over. She had already grabbed a large handful of snow and was shaping it with her mitten-clad palms, and while she was no Elsa, and therefore not a specialist when it came to all things icy, she didn't think she was doing too bad of a job at making it into a ball-like shape.]
I haven't built a snowman in ages, Kristoff. [she confesses excitedly, patting the snow into place in hopes of solidifying it.] Not since Elsa and I were both very young, and...well, you know. [she gives him a sheepish smile and a shrug of her shoulders.]
What about you, though? Did you and Sven spend a lot of time building snowmen when you were growing up? Or maybe...icemen?
[When Kristoff wakes up to see her beautiful face every morning, and right before he falls asleep each night, he still can't believe he was lucky enough to find her. Or rather, she found him! He's glad she worked her way into his gruff, loner heart, because now, he couldn't imagine life without her.
He half-smiles to himself, just watching and listening to her thoughtfully. Kristoff wishes he could take away all the pain from her past, but now, he's doing his best to make sure every day spent together is amazing. Leaning down, he starts scooping up some ice, too. Sven, meanwhile, does his part by trying to roll some snow into snowballs with his antlers.]
We made some ice sculptures I was pretty proud of. I mean, they were nothing compared to what your sister can do, but not bad for an ice harvester and his reindeer best friend. Mostly, we worked long hours, getting the ice ready and trying to sell it.
[Anna wonders if Kristoff understands just how ridiculously hard it is for her to resist the ever-present urge to toss her arms around his neck and kiss him; surely if he realized just how very painful it was for the young princess, he'd put her out of her misery by allowing her to press her lips against his every chance she got!
But--snowman building, right. Snowman building!
She listens thoughtfully as he goes into detail about his childhood, a soft smile encompassing her delicate features as he speaks. They both grew up almost entirely on their own, and Anna was so glad that they had found one another. So glad.]
Will you show me how you and Sven build your ice sculptures sometime soon? And maybe even teach me how to make one myself? [the snowball in her hands is almost completely forgotten about as she unconsciously takes a step closer to Kristoff; she catches her bottom lip between her teeth and worries it only briefly before allowing a smile brighter than the sun to take over her face. Because she's so happy to be spending time with Kristoff, and she just can't seem to help it!]
Because I'm sure that they're really, really lovely.
[Oh, Kristoff would have absolutely no problem with all that kissing. But yes, snowman building. That's what they were here for right now, right?]
Sure I'll teach you, but Anna, it's nothing like what your sister can do. [He smirks a little, because c'mon. She's the Snow Queen, after all.] Anything I could make would only pale in comparison, I'm sure. Your sister's ice sculptures are pretty amazing.
[Anna can't help but smile and beam at the mention of Elsa. Her sister is brilliant, and she would gladly spend the rest of forever proclaiming it so. She likes hearing Kristoff say nice things about her, if only because Anna still worries about people treating Elsa like some sort of pariah due to her powers.
Her Kristoff would never do that, though. He wasn't like that. He was sweet (albeit grumpy), and kind, and--
...Wait. Her Kristoff? Where had that even come from?!]
You two should build an ice sculpture together sometime, then! As a...a collaboration, of sorts!
[Slightly flustered by her own ridiculous thoughts, Anna drops her snowball and fumbles for it, managing to catch it right before it hits the ground. Right, then--she has a snowman to build! And she can't do that if she's spending all of her time focusing on Kristoff and how much she wants to kiss him! So it's with a rather determined nod that Anna bends down and begins to roll her snowball in the fresh, icy powder that's surrounding them, watching as it gets bigger and bigger right before her very eyes.]
Okay, Kristoff, let's get to building! Come on! We're burning daylight here! Oh, this is going to be the best! I can't wait to show Elsa and Olaf; they're going to think it's so cool, and--eep!
[It's when her snowball is nearly up to her waist and moving fast that Anna...stumbles and falls. Right on top of the snowball, and then over it, until she's flailing wildly before landing in the snow with no amount of grace whatsoever.]
[He likes Elsa, and not just because she's Anna's sister. Elsa is pretty brilliant, actually, and also not just because she's got magic ice powers - although, that warmed Hans to her quite a lot, no pun intended. And while he might not have had a REAL brother - don't tell Sven, he gets offended - Hans was touched by the relationship between the sisters. He felt like he'd sort of been adopted into their little family, which was a pretty special place to be. Oh, the trolls, aka the "love experts" would always be his family, but there was nothing wrong with said family growing. This was a little different.
But really, Sven was like his furry brother with antlers.]
That would be pretty amazing, actually. I might let her do most of the heavy lifting though because, you know - magic ice powers. That's all I gotta say.
[Kristoff is amused by his Anna's - yes, his Anna, he's been calling her that in his head for a while now - fumbling. He really shouldn't be, but he just can't help himself. And he's just leaning down to scoop up some snow of his own and humor her.... when she suddenly falls. He cringes, but a smile is near.]
You're supposed to make a snowman out of snow - not yourself there, Anna.
[But he reaches down to help her up, giving up and just smiling at her.]

Man, I kinda feel bad that Tails is sticking around on Angel Island. This is beautiful!
Although I might then feel a little guilty about pegging Knux with a snowball or six.
