[R's one of the Dead trying to snap at Clem. His teeth click, but even his lunges seem half-hearted. He's doing it because everyone else seems to be doing it and he wants to fit in. Guess he died a follower like that.
Anyway, he figures the girl here won't last long when she only has a hammer on her...right?]
[Clem has notice he's in a lot better condition than Walkers tend to be, but has ignored it on account of the trying not to die thing. R will notice how with a determinedness which bellies his age and size she knocks a Walker down before sticking the back of the hammer in the creature's head as it crashes down, finally dead. But she's aware of being outnumbered and locates something she can climb up on, maybe find a better weapon or escape exit.]
[Okay, okay, so it's his turn now. He has this. R hypes himself up, lunges at Clem, and misses by a mile. Another one of the Dead bumps into him shoulder to shoulder - he can't tell if it's on purpose or what - as if to say watch where you're going, newb.
R makes another ham-handed pass at Clem. All he seems to do is get in the way of the others snapping at her, buying her precious time to swing away with her hammer]
Ssgghh.... [There's a new sound on the tip of R's tongue. He thinks he might be trying to say "sorry"]
[Clem manages to climb onto a higher surface, nervous that there really doesn't seem to be a exit right now. She manages to toss a brick at one of the walkers who crashes to the floor, but there's a few more besides including that oddly clean one.. It's odd but he seems to almost be stopping the others from attacking her. And then... was that almost a word? Walkers don't talk outside groans and snarls.]
I must be imagining things. [She pulls herself up higher as she glances for another way out. Keep calm. They're dumber than you are. Use that to your advantage.]
[Crap, there she goes. Getting to the higher ground, why is he surprised? They get to higher ground or they start barricading and either the others wander off or they get re-killed. Clementine's so small that she can get her legs out of grabbing range, R's hands only getting air.
The general feel in the air besides the snapping of teeth and the groaning is...yikes. He's getting the feeling the other Dead aren't happy with him. They probably would've been able to kill The Girl already if it wasn't for him.
Suddenly tired of the groaning and the silent, vacantly judging eyes, R decides to try something new: he speaks]
