"You needn't bring out the fake mistletoe for that," she says, a wry grin tugging at the side of her lips as she kisses him properly, her fingers curling round the lapels of his trenchcoat, pulling him as close as she can muster.
"Happy Christmas, Sean," she continues. Silently, she adds, my love, my life, my protector.
"Fake mistletoe," Sean says with a smile, "Vienna doesn't do fake anything
at Christmas time." He presses their lips together and smiles. "Merry
Christmas ma belle, would you like your present now?"
[Her eyes widen upon opening the tiny box, and upon seeing the delicate pendant, they fill up with tears. No one, save for her mother and late father---and no MAN, at least--had ever given her anything so precious, or indeed, loved her. Her heart was beginning to turn slightly as she seriously considered pondering a future with Sean Renard. The future wasn't something she'd looked forward to, nor thought could be filled with the normal joys of normal people. Renard had taken her preconceived notions and had turned them upside down.]
"It....it's gorgeous," she murmurs softly, incredulously, looking at him through eyes veiled by tears.
"You'll forgive me, Sean....," she begins, shaking her head, trying to make light. "....No one's ever...seen something and...thought of me." She crawls into his arms whilst standing, her hands moving underneath his blazer, resting upon his back, her cheek nestling against his chest. Listening to his heartbeat comforted her, his chest gently rising and falling.
He holds her tight enjoying quiet moment. They haven;'t had many of them in
recent weeks. "I'm so glad I bought it then.....you have been so special to
me I wanted to show you how much."
[She holds him close to her even further, savouring the moment just as he was. It was fact; they'd not shared many quiet moments in recent memory. And, to be sure, there wouldn't be many more any time soon.]
"I've....never been special to anyone, save my parents. You've no idea how much this means to me, Sean," she breathes, closing her eyes and drinking in his scent.

Sean unclasps the necklace and loops it around Louise's neck his hand resting against her neck. "Beautiful."

"It is, indeed."

He walks over to her and rests his chin on her shoulder. "Just as beautiful as you." he purrs.
