Well knowing Phil as I do...I needed three. He'd find the first two and miss the third one so we're covered either way.

That, I don't know I'll have to ask him. Even if Phil picked her, it doesn't mean Fury didn't put a word in her ear. It's hard to know who to trust at SHIELD these days. Not that they've ever been particularly trustworthy.

File is locked to a level ten agent only...that's Fury.....two he was dead for days....possibly a month or more. And three he was injected with something called GH a drug cocktail...heard of it?

Days? Months? What the fuck did they do to him? No, no I've never heard of it, any idea what the GH stands for? Maybe the G is for Gamma, maybe Bruce would know? Something to do with what they did to Cap only they used it to keep Phil alive? Shit, I don't know!

[Clint's pacing, his fists clenching and unclenching at his sides. He has to be calm for Phil, but when he's with Tony, he can let his anger and frustration show.]

How hard do you think it would be to kidnap, Fury? A few well placed arrows in nerve centers? Mother fucker still wouldn't talk, would he? This is so fucked up, Tony. What the fuck did they do to him?

[Tony spins to face Clint and gives the younger man a hard look. He knows what it's like to drive yourself crazy with what if's and he's not going to let that happen to his fellow Avenger.]

Clint calm down...this isn't going to help Phil one bit if you fly off the handle okay. Fury must have had a reason for this beyond just wanting to pull us together and we will find it.

It's hard not to fly off the handle when the man you love has been used as some kind of test monkey, afraid of what he is or what he'll become! What if Fury had done this to Pepper? Wouldn't you want to know as much as possible? Wouldn't you want to bust his face in until he told you what he'd done?

Believe me I would be angry as you if it were Pepper but Phil needs you to stay calm because he is most likely freaking out right now and Phil freaking out is not a good thing.

That's why I'm freaking out on you instead of him. I don't suppose you'd let me punch you in the face would you? I'd feel a hell of a lot better.

Clint.....there have been pools since Fury dumped Phil on me. I think Pepper actually won ours and Sitwill won SHIELD.

In that case, tell Pepper she's taking us to dinner with her winnings. [Of course there was a pool, Clint is only surprised he never caught wind of it before.]
