They may not be in the physical sense, but many seem to just play for the money. So they are in a way hired to beat the other team, is that not the definition of a thug? One hired to beat another?
I was always watching... I am more into singular sports, not really a team player.
I thought that, too, but then was corrected on it. Let me see how much I can remember:
Soccer, or 'Asoccer', is not only a European term for the sport, it's an older name for it than football. It only became "football" when the middle and lower classes started playing it, as it was previously considered a gentleman's sport. Around the 1800s when the Americans caught on to it, soccer was a legitimate name for the sport.
Still that's something to admire! I feel like a lot of people try and have a go about it but it takes a strong few to stick it out.
Well, uh, I'm unemployed technically which sounds sort of terrible. I'm in the process of trying to build stock for a record shop. Which also really pales in comparison to something like medical.
I've always loved music. It's truly been a passion. I used to teach and have a shop but things got a bit chaotic for a while and I focused on teaching but... I've retired from that and I've really gone headstrong into opening a new shop. Here's to hoping it does better than my last one.
It is, and if you can realise that then you'll be quite good at it. I don't think a lot of people get that.
It is common practice in eastern medicine. I try to use homeopathic cures as well as modern western medicines. Personally I do not like prescribing pills if I know there is something organic that does the job as well if not better. But for now... Have to continue the western prescriptions that we have startd to get too used to.

I don't know what it should be called really but it shouldn't be called football. They don't even really use their feet?! Pointless.

Some of the best players I've seen were small guys who looked like they'd get knocked over in a good breeze.

Oh yeah. I used to be alright at football. Probably couldn't do it now. But it was the only sport I used to do.

I can see that. I suppose the whole act is very zen. It's been a long time since I've done it though.
Operating room?

[She nodded softly.] Yes, I'm a medical doctor. Well still resident in Tokyo. Though I hope to have my own clinic. Staying with general medicine.

Oh man. I really have to admire that. I'd never be able to do that. To squeamish.

But then again, I feel part of tending to the patient is both a mental and physical thing.
