Erik's words sent a chill down her spine that she didn't think she would ever have. Coming here had been a set up, but she was starting to really feel like there could be progress. That there could be forgiveness between all of them. She wanted to be with Charles, she really did.

She wondered how she could go forward when Erik clearly didn't want to. Slowly, she pulled away from Erik. Sharing a look with Charles, she went back to her chair and sipped at her tea. Her hands cradled her mug, sipping at the warm liquid and trying to focus on that.

He doesn't want to change, Charles. He never will.
