It seems as if all of my friends around me are doing wild and crazy things. They are making ME look like the sane one. If I'm the best that we can do-as far as sane ones go- then we should all be afraid.

Oh, Merlin. I know how that is all too well. It's more that I've become the sane one in the family rather than my friends. *a beat* Though really I'm related to pretty much everyone, if only by marriage.

You know, I've noticed that I do the same thing. Why is that? Isn't the 'right' thing to do is actually get the name first and then go in for the conversation?

If I had to wager a guess? I'd say it's because the number of psychos in the world has dramatically increased. Your name can link you to anyone, anyone could have an agenda.

Mine is the opposite, usually. People hear "Snape" and automatically back off. So when people stay around, I know it's for me. *a beat* Unless they're trying to get in with the Dark Lord, but that's over now. *pauses and then, curiously* What about you?
