I had higher hopes for tonight.

I knew I wasn't the only one who hated these political mixers.

Sometimes someone has one glass of champagne too many, but everyone tonight seems to be behaving. Pity.

If the ambassador decides to finally start blatantly hitting on that brunette in front of his wife, there might be something left to salvage.

We can only hope, hmm?

Hope and appreciate the fact they didn't skimp on the liquor at this one. Or at least I intend to.

I appreciate honesty, even when it's terrible. Though not too terrible, really.

A gentleman ought to always be honest, especially when in lovely company.

Then clearly I don't know enough gentlemen.

A shame.

I guess I'll just have to enjoy it when I have the chance.
