[Everyone needed Peter, but sometimes he needed someone, too. Not that he was going to act on that impulse anymore. Death, destruction. Everything followed it.]
Thanks, for listening. I guess I needed to be reminded of that.
I'm not really a very good therapist, Petes. Don't know if you happen to know that about me. But you can tell me any damn thing you want, that's not gonna change my opinion of you.
A year ago, I wouldn't have tried it. But this last year and a half has not been... Destruction is a recurring theme.
I almost let my former childhood best friend die because I was too afraid to let him become something like me. And in the process, I think I made it worse.
That's gonna happen too, but you gotta keep on going. Mistakes are gonna happen, and in the job you're in, people are gonna get hurt. And it's gonna hurt you and feel like your fault.
One of the downsides of being a hero.
But you're a lot stronger than you get credit for, you can handle this.
[Peter sighed. He got it, he did, but it was just hard. But all things in life were, right?]
Yeah... you give good advice, you know? [Peter grinned, trying to distract them both.] So, thanks. Maybe you should become a therapist. I'll be your first client.

[It was hard to talk about, but finally explaining it to someone (anyone who would listen), helped.]

But that doesn't change things, does it? Doing what I could. People still died.

[Peter made a face.]
But you really don't want to know everything about me, so no worries.

Literally, nothing you tell me about you is gonna surprise me, gross me out, change my opinion, or make me think less of you.

[He's trying not to think about that, either.]

And you can still do something. Everyone gets scared, Peter. You're not some godlike super human, you know. Everyone is allowed to be scared.
no subject
Right. I am allowed to. But lately, more things just seem to be going wrong, and it's more my fault than not my fault.
[It's easier to be upset than happy.]

If that's a canon thing, my knowledge is limited, sorry!
[Have a curious look.]

Oh, that's cool. And I apologize for slow tags, I'm working!
But. That's cool you're willing to watch it with her.
