[Playing guitar, waiting on a train.]
kusai: (huh?)

[Yeah, Makoto's definitely staring.]
kusai: (what?)

[personal profile] kusai 2014-09-02 04:46 am (UTC)(link)
Uh.

[Oh, boy. The guy's looking at him. Makoto nods his head, cap obscuring part of his face.]

I'm good, thanks. [A pause.] You're pretty good at that, huh.
kusai: (uuuuh...)

[personal profile] kusai 2014-09-02 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
So, uh, what. You're the whole travelling musician deal?
kusai: (huh?)

[personal profile] kusai 2014-09-02 05:05 am (UTC)(link)
... what's a Ren Faires? [God, he probably pronounced that wrong.]
kusai: (worrying)

[personal profile] kusai 2014-09-02 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
...

I didn't understand at least half of that, I'm sorry.
kusai: (concerned)

I don't... even know what turkey legs taste like...

Is it like Disney?
kusai: (okie dokes)

[personal profile] kusai 2014-09-02 05:34 am (UTC)(link)
I'm from Bukuro, in Japan. Ikebukuro.

I just eat lots of yakisoba and mayonnaise. Turkey sounds hella expensive.
kusai: (bites lip aw yea)

[personal profile] kusai 2014-09-02 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
Holy hell, I want turkey and mayonnaise then! [It seems almost like Makoto's been given a good shot of happiness.]

This place is all right, but it was a pain in the ass learning English.
kusai: (huh?)

[personal profile] kusai 2014-09-02 05:50 am (UTC)(link)
... what's Welsh?
kusai: (worrying)

[personal profile] kusai 2014-09-02 06:03 am (UTC)(link)
Iya... [Makoto winces.] I'm pretty bad with kanji already, and that's my mother tongue.
kusai: (no fucking way)

[personal profile] kusai 2014-09-02 06:08 am (UTC)(link)
!!!

It's... they're the really difficult characters. In Japanese. Based off'a Chinese. See, there's hiragana and katakana, but those're usually just pretty simple, like. One hiragana or katakana character is equal to one syllable.

Kanji can be made up of anything from one to four syllables all on its own. I know there're some that're made up of twenty strokes.
kusai: (uuuuh...)

Yeah, it's hell.

I'm guessing Welsh at least uses letters like English, right?
kusai: (not half bad)
