[Ara had just cut the string to finish the rather terrible job but she was too proud of it to notice just how bad it was yet as she tilted her head in confusion with the offered advice.]

I fixed them already though. See? [The small vampire goes to wiggle her leg to prove the pant leg had been mended but she couldn't.]

Ah, well. You do good stitches, but they're a bit misplaced. We've all done it. Sewing takes a lot of practice to get right, and even then, everybody makes mistakes. So I know a thing or two about it. I know you don't know me, but I can still help, if you want. I always have a sewing kit on me!

[Looking to her pants, her cheeks flushed a lively shade of red as she used her knife to cut the stitches so she could move her legs again.]

Everyone does? It's hard, I just wanted to fix this rip. [She shows her the now-half closed tear at her calf. She was always ripping her clothes.] Well... I guess that would be alright. Don't tell anyone please.

Uh-huh. Lots of people sew, but it always takes a lot of practice before you get really good. My mom says 'everybody is always learning in life'.

Oh! I made this mistake with a circle skirt I was making once. It was satin, though, so it couldn't be fixed. But you have on tougher fabric, so this'll be much better. Just hand me the needle and I'll show you how, and you'll never need my help again. And I won't tell a soul - promise!
