We stared at the man, one thought running through my head. 'Baby? What kind of name is Baby?'
"Uh, I am Mathew Swift." That sentence was out of our mouth before I'd really thought about it. The man felt odd in our sense of the world. There was a sense of tyre rubber, the tang of gasoline and curiously enough salt, and the feel of the long road.
The tall handsome man beams with a brightness most men his age shouldn't
have. "Hello Mathew Swift it is nice to meet you. You haven't been visited
by a pair of men have you? One is really tall and the other one is short
and bowlegged they are my owners and I miss them." The words tumble loose
from the strangers lips as if he has been bottling up what he wants to say
for years and years.
"One of them wasn't taking good care of me but it's not his fault so I want
to find him and say sorry."
what? [Oh right, those are out.] Oh. I don't think so? Not like the angels people are familiar with anyway. I'm a phoenix.
[She's been called many things, from a bird to an angel to a god. Eliza is unclear as to if any of these are technically the correct answer, or if she's just her own thing. She doesn't exactly have others of her own kind to ask.]
Oh no, the human form is just to interact with humans better! Lately humans aren't so keen on talking to a bird that trails fire. I can definitely change and have feathers and all.
[Whether Eliza is good or bad is sometimes up for question even among friends. Her heart is in the right place, but she's been alive a long, long, long time. She's seen a lot, she's seen a lot of loved ones die. It's made her a little crazy. Lets call it mostly good?]
did he really? That usually doesn't go well for humans. I'm almost surprised I haven't run in to him yet, I usually manage to get involved somehow when weird stuff like that is going on.

[Don't mind the bright orange wings coming from her back. Truth be told she's forgotten they're out right now.]

[Baby's attention is caught by the wings and he stares at them in wonder.]
Are you an angel...I know angels and those look like angel wings.

Oh...Sam and Dean haven't dealt with phoenix's before. Can you change and grow feathers like the ones in Sam's books do or are you human all the time?
[Baby has heard enough research to understand that Eliza is special but he isn't sure if she's a good guy or a bad guy yet.]

Oh...like me. I used to be a car and now I'm human...so I can be around humans. I like your vessel it's very pretty.

[Baby considers the question.]
It wasn't boring....my humans are always going places they were always busy and I never got dirty or hungry. Well at least until now.

Dean is gone...dead and Sam is I don't know where. Gabriel didn't say.

Sam is sort of hard to miss. He's really tall and he wears plaid. You haven't seen him have you?

Please do I'm worried about him. He doesn't do well without me or Dean. He drank demon blood once.

Well our angel friend has been with us. Maybe some of what he did to Sam and Dean kept you from meeting them?

[The not entirely pure ones like her better. But oh well.]

[Baby nods.]
Most of them are stupid dickheads.
no subject
True enough! Probably why I don't get along with most of them very well.
no subject
I don't think anyone gets along with angels.

That's a shame I'm sure they could be nice if they wanted to be.
