...Yeah. That would the problem with too tight a beam on a phaser. The nadion stream is a bit too much on that power setting. Maybe if you cranked the setting down a few grades or widened the beam just slightly.

I'm used to working with Mass Effect-powered guns. It miniaturized well and explodes in my face less. This is certainly different.
