It rains and everyone moves indoors.

Not everyone. Some of us thrive in the rain.

Growing things thrive in the rain.

Tomatoes do, sure.

Some of us just don't like to sleep very much.

I wouldn't be out in the rain if I weren't.

I like the rain. It makes everything smell clean. A little rebirth, if you will.

Well it's certainly a lot better than catching a cold.

I dunno, in spring everything sort of just smells like mud and rotting.

Our perceptions differ, then.

That is true. I would not expect sickness from such a light downpour, though.

That's kinda a given.

Are there any smells you like associated with autumn?

And it makes hair go crazy? Humidity is terrible for hair in general, a light downpour could ruin your day if you're really invested in your hair.

Cinnamon, apples, all the cinnamon and apple baked smells. And Turkey. You know, Thanksgiving stuff.

Ah. I never notice such things, but it does make sense for those who do.

The start of the holidays. Does Halloween not come first, though?

It does. I don't know if Halloween smells like anything but Wax though. And Not sure if I'm looking forward to it or not this year.

All Hallow's Eve can be a spiritual time, as well. Most people associate it with children and candy and monsters.

Why?

It can be, if you're raised that way? I've only done the candy, drinking and sexy-cat costume part of it. Last year though, I went to a pretty exclusive... patyr. I'm 100% sure I'm not invited this year.

And clothes get damp and itchy and all those other little technical things that go along with getting damp.

Though maybe if one went running naked through the rain, it'd be more enjoyable.

Most, anyway. I rather like rain.

They're missing out, everything is much cleaner when rain passes through.

Is the exclusivity the thing that matters, or merely that it is a party?
