[Ice trickles down the river, and the air feels colder. A silently shaking Elsa doesn't notice as she tries to reel in her powers, sitting a fair distance away, tucked underneath a tree.]
*Upon seeing the ice, the elf frowned, confused. Winter was not yet upon them and the sudden change in temperature seemed strange. Curious, she followed the source to see the child. She knelt down and spoke in a soothing, kind voice.*
[Elsa leans away, hoping she's not going to accidentally ice the nice lady.] I'm sorry I'm bothering you, I just... I've always been in my room. The forest is so big and different. I got lost. [She bites her lip, and looks down. Everything is too big, too vast. She can't help the fear that bubbled up inside her when she couldn't find her way home.]
You are not bothering me at all. You are quite right, the forest is vast, it is easy to become lost.
*Tauriel gave the child what she hoped would be a reassuring smile. She could tell the girl did not want to be touched so she kept a safe space between them.*
My name is Tauriel, and I am a Captain of the Guard here. Would you like help in finding your way?
*Really, she wondered what this girl was doing here. Finding a child alone in the forest was odd enough, but there was definitely something odd about this girl.*
It's really pretty, but I can't retrace my steps in a forest. Nothing looks familiar. Everything is all different.
That would be really great, Captain Tauriel. I don't have anything to repay you with, but my Mother and Father will. [Even if they'll be angry with Elsa, they'll be grateful to whoever brings their cursed child back to them in one piece, safe and sound. Their protection is thick and comforting sometimes, like a blanket, except when it's suffocating like smoke.
There's some frost on the hems of Elsa's dress that might be noticeable when she curtsies.] I'm Elsa of Arendelle. It's good to meet you.
