*Tauriel has not had good experiences with dragons, and so she immediately draws her bow. It was pointless, to be sure. A bow would do not good against a dragon, but she felt more protected weapon in hand.*
[Given that Lockheed was only a foot in height it probably seemed more viable than usual. Smuag had likely tainted people's opinions of dragons around he but Heed wasn't to know that not being a local. So he gives her a curious look in response.]
What yeh doing with that, lady? Ain't gonna hurt yeh, yeh know. Just figured I'd give Heed's opinion on dancing and all.
[Lockheed raised the dragon equal of an eyebrow at that fact, whilst it was disconcerting to be held at arrow-point, if there were dragons around in this place causing such problems, she was likely wise to be cautious.]
Sorry to hear that. But Heed ain't from around here. Even like human types, mostly anyway. If it makes yeh feel comfortable, I suppose. I'm Lockheed anyhoo.
[He offered her a tiny paw to shake, a polite if wary smile on his face.]
*She very cautiously lowered her bow and shook the tiny paw. It seemed strange, conversing with a dragon, and she hadn't entirely dismissed the idea that the beast was trying to trick her.*
Tauriel.
*She studied the dragon curiously.*
Where are you from then, the North?
*She had heard of the fire drakes of the North... though she thought they were wiped out long ago, and this particular dragon did not match the description of the terrifying beasts she had been told of since childhood.*
[If you had spent a very long time - and given elf lifespans that could be a while - fearing and distrusting dragons, it was liable that she might think the dragon wasn't fully trustworthy. Even so Lockheed remained civil enough. He gave a bemused smile in fact at her question.]
Nice to meet yeh Tauriel. And nah, not the North. Outta Space.
[In reality Lockheed was a space dragon and all his race were about the same scale, though they had also dealt with the threat of monsterous evil. Even if it had been more insectoid than draconian like themselves.]

All our dealings with dragons have resulted in death and destruction. You cannot blame me for taking precautions.
