Hello, Malcolm!!! [ have a hug]

[Malcolm blinks and returns the hug a bit uneasily. Given that Oliver is now staring at him like he's completely lost his mind]

Doctor.....your timing is perfect as always.

[oh he knows. He loves you!! No really he does!]

And hello, who are you? [now hes trying to at least shake Olivers hand]

[ everytime i see an Oliver or Thea i want to tag and be like. I know Malcolm. Be my friend. And his too]

[Malcolm is trying to resist the urge to body block the Doctor and Oliver even risking getting choked again to keep his lover and his enemy apart. He has to remind himself they have bigger problems then his personal issues.]

Doctor this is Oliver Queen, Oliver this is the Doctor...he's an old friend.

[Oliver carefully shakes the Time Lord's hand and eyes Malcolm who stares right back.]

I had a life before trying to kill people Oliver

[it's alright, the Doctor wont allow Oliver to harm him]

It' nice to finally meet you, Oliver. Heard a lot about you!

[he makes no comment on their past together because he's not entirly sure want Malcolm wants him to know.]

A pleasure may I ask what you're doing here.

[Malcolm nods.]

I'm curious about that too Doctor.

Oh no reason really, just stopping by for a visit. Really everythings great. [he's being really expressive and waving his hands all about. And you really have nothing to worry about. It's not like you're being invaded by aliens or anything. Just one overly curious Time Lord who happens to have a thing for one of the resident misunderstood]

[Malcolm is resisting the urge to crack a smile at the Doctor but now is really not the time to show weakness in front of Oliver. He reaches over to still one of the Time Lord's arms to get his attention.]

Doctor...now is really a bad time. Oliver and I are dealing with....well remember when you patched me from all those arrow wounds....his daughter is in town and making a rather serious threat.

[He stills and turns to look at Malcolm with concern but thankfully Oliver can't see his face from this angle. He turns fully, facing Malcolm and his face is rather solemn though his tone appears otherwise. He's not entirely tactless]

Ah, that chap. Would you like an extra set of eyes on lookout? [He's mostly asking Malcolm if he wants him to watch his back. Then enemy of my enemy may be your friend...but only until the threat is neutralized. He didn't want to hold Malcolm's dying body again anytime soon.]

No Doctor...I need to show Oliver the way to Namba Parbat...he is insisting on fighting that chap despite all my warnings.

[He's silent for a bit before sighing, he's being rude to Oliver but he doesn't really care at the moment. He places a hand on Malcolm's shoulder and moves to walk past him, he whispers to him as he does, knowing he can hear but Oliver can't.]

I'll wait for you at home.

[Malcolm nods tightly and finishes his business with Oliver and returning to the mansion. He heads to the back garden and taps on the TARDIS door quietly.]

Doctor?

[the Door opens and the Doctor pokes his head out]. I'm not happy about this. Just so you're aware. [he exits and shuts the door behind him]

I feel I've mentioned how much I hate watching you die.

[Malcolm doesn't even blink used to the Doctor's abrupt nature.]

Many times yes, but I am not letting Nyssa lead him there alone she'll walk him right into a trap. I know Oliver doesn't trust me, choking me made that very clear but he is Thea's brother and she will kill me if he gets hurt.

You know I'm coming with you, right?

[Malcolm shakes his head.]

No...last time we got lucky you are not coming.

And just how were you planning on stopping me? [How indeed?]

I was hoping to be gone and back again before I saw you. But for now I'm going to take the slow route and lock the TARDIS door when I leave....hoping you won't be able to get out.

[Okay, idle threat is idle. You can't lock him out of the TARDIS without being inside of it and even if you did after that accident with the Master he's made a few upgrades. Plus he carry's 7 keys just in case.]

Malcolm, please. Let me come with you, let me help. [He stood before his friend and lover and pleaded with him even as they stood in the archer's yard.]

[Malcolm shakes his head hard.]

I said no Doctor. This isn't your fight it's Oliver and mine. I need to face this part of my past in my own way.

[Why are they both so stubborn?]

If you do not return, Malcolm. I will not forgive you, and neither will Thea. [He looks like he might cry and stands there a moment longer before turning to head back to the TARDIS. He didn't think Malcolm would want him to stay.]

[Malcolm doesn't want to leave things like this and follows the Doctor inside the TARDIS.]

Believe me I know she yelled at me enough already. But I don't want to risk you Doctor I can't....I...love you too much.

[the Doctor doesnt turn around at his exclamation]. I love you too Malcolm. That's why I dont want to let you go alone.

I'm not going alone Oliver is going with me. He has the insane idea fighting Ra's will get the man to leave the city alone. I tried to warn him but he wouldn't listen.

You're going with a man who hates you. Forgive me for not being comforted by that.

I never said it was the smartest idea I've ever had.

Indeed. [The Doctor searched Malcolm's face for a moment.] It's still coming... [he said in a hushed whisper and his eyes turned sad for a moment]

[The Doctor leaned forward and kissed him gently.] Please do come back in one piece. And no matter what happens, please remember that I do love you.

[Malcolm returns the kiss gently only slightly puzzled by the Doctor's words.]

I promise you I will be careful. And I will come back.

[He nods] I...I should go. Otherwise I might not be able too later. Do call when you get home? Please?

I will. It may be a while before I do given how I have to hide my tracks but I'll call.

[nods sadly and turns to leave]
