[ Charlie is busy counting the money she managed to steal today, frowning just a tiny bit. She's not terribly pleased with the amount by the days not over yet. When Damien speaks, one eyebrow lifts some. ]
The kind where we pretend that's enough for a pizza that doesn't suck and your place doesn't smell like cheese.
[Because this is apparently better than his place, which is...really a series of places that belong to somebody else that he squats in when the owners aren't home.]
[...of course it's a Sniff. Damien's seen the guy before, memorized every single damn one of them before he took off so he'd know when to bolt. He gets ready to do just that, but not before getting a shot off. He can't help it, it's always been his downfall.]
[ And better than uncertainty. She stands and stretches with a sigh, shoving her money in her pocket. ]
Meet me in the playground near the one convenience store with the old dog that's always out front.
[ Charlie thinks it'd look suspicious if she headed right back to Damien, so she always suggests places to meet after her attempts. Not to mention, it's near the pawn shop. With that, she's walking off with her head down but her eyes on her target. It's a trip, a fumble as her hand grabs the mans arms and after a million apologies and a check to make sure she didn't hurt him...
his watch is in her pocket and he hasn't noticed. She'll be headed towards that playground now, whether Damien's there or not. ]
[He's there. Of course he's there; not like he's got anything better to do, and more importantly than that he's curious to see how she does. So when she arrives he's parked at the top of the playscape, tucked behind one of the walls of the tower and waiting for her to show up.]
[ Not out of necessity. Out of habit. She holds up the watch, though, a look of unease on her face. She doesn't really enjoy stealing, but she doesn't like starving to death, either. ]

wtf is my phone doing?! jesus. sorry!
[ Charlie isn't going to show it much, but the lack of pizza I'd actually a disappointment. ]
If we luck out and I manage to find more money, we might have enough to get a cheese pizza somewhere.
is is apparently not a word anymore :|
[He leans over to poke at the offerings himself, mentally calculating, as if he doesn't believe her.]

Guy across the street. How much do you thing the watch on his wrist is worth?
[ Charlie has been watching the guy for a few minutes now. If she can get the watch, its bound to get them a bit extra at the pawn shop.]

If, big guy. Not when.
And if you do win? You get rotten eggs.

I don't do 'ifs'. But that's a pretty shitty prize, kid. A little on the nose. Kinda sounds more like work than play to me. Is that what you want?

[But she directs, and he shifts his attention to eye the guy, gauging.]
Dunno. Maybe a hundred new, but I doubt you're gonna get anything close to that.

[The longer this goes on, the closer Damien looks to bolting. He knows he's pushing his luck as it is.]

It must be new. There isn't a scratch on it.

Yeah, geez. Might even get a few extra bucks out of it.

[ And she's off again at a hurry. If she gets this out of her hands fast enough, she won't feel so bad. Right?
...this is a theory she tests often and it never works. ]

For me, kid. Work for me. You aren't my job, and I'm not in a hurry to do somebody else's for them. I don't get overtime.
