She and I are very different. She might not feel the same way. And I think it would be awkward for her to have to turn someone down. She's too nice - she'd have a hard time with that sort of thing.

[This "kid" who sounds mature than he looks is by all means not a real human boy at all. The body may actually look human, but it is designed by magic. Deception is one of the mask's expertise.

It's too easy and boring to scare others away as just a floating mask whose eyes almost seemingly look into one's soul. Being in disguise and choosing to surprise the passerby with its true identity is much more entertaining.]

It would hurt less if she just loved me back, and I didn't have to make the first move. But that's not how life works.

I don't know. I really don't. I guess... I would try to make myself better so she could love me.

I don't know. And rescuing someone makes them grateful, not in love with you. It's not like the fairytales; love isn't a switch that flicks on that like that...

I know enough to know what she thinks about 'rescue romances'. She hates them, in movies, in books, in everything. So she'd probably hate it in real life, too. It's just not possible. Maybe if we were little kids it'd work, but we're not.

I'm back, now that I'm less occupied with things. ^^;
