[A soft sigh as Malcolm shakes his head.]

[Malcolm is still burning with fury inside but he is outwardly calm.]

No...my daughter was attacked and her misplaced anger is directed at me rather than her brother who lied to her for two and a half years.

[He shakes his head.]

[R rubs her bloodshot eyes.]

I wish I could make them understand....understand what it's like to lose everything and be consumed by grief and pain. To make choices you think are right and then watch in horror as you get things so very wrong. They paint me with such a wide brush.

[ Rayan frowns because really she remembers Malcolm telling her to keep an eye on Thea and she would have, if Bruce hadn't called her back because of an issue in Arkham that he wanted reliable back up with (And since Gordon was part of the group they were bailing out, she was it). ]
