Ah, pardon. [ a beat ] It's just an endearment. [ a short smile ]
Routes to them are all over the worlds. Earth seems a bit behind most planets I have visited so they're a little more hidden- but anyhow... fairly simple, really. You find the entrance, you walk in.
[ Fancy that ] Well, the overall state of mental wellbeing in Europe's performance art scene - particularly - is highly questionable. But do you happen to cross what the new age kids call star children all too often, ilau?

The artistic art scene seems pretty stable to me. But I guess it'd be a little different from street theater, which I think is what you mean by performance.
[ He hopes so, anyway. ]
... Not often, no. I mean. We do get visitors now and then.
No, I tend to drive. I usually have a lot of equipment that's pretty delicate and I don't trust the airlines not to destroy it. So I load it all up in my van.
Earth is so young compared to many other planets that sustain life. It's like a child, messy and arrogant. But children are wonderful things excusing their infuriating habits.

[ Clark's turn to pause. And play captain obvious. ]
So what you're saying is that ... you aren't from around here.

[ Among other things. ]
We don't produce flying cars, sadly, so you're either pulling my leg or work for the government.

Or you're mentally unstable and from somewhere in Europe. Either way, it still leaves room for a lot of possibilities.

How do I know you're not working for the government?

[ Cue little pause. ]
And I was teasing, sorry. You don't? But I can give you my ID if you want.

I can't tell what it is that brings me back here all the time. It's been a number of years, but here I am.

Okay, I'll bite. What do you like about here so much? That's probably what draws you back.

Let's go for coffee, shall we?

Not too much of an airplane fan myself, but most people are. Do you fly often?

No, I tend to drive. I usually have a lot of equipment that's pretty delicate and I don't trust the airlines not to destroy it. So I load it all up in my van.
So why the curiosity about travel methods?

There's a decent place about two blocks up. They serve food, too.

Driving is good. Better opportunity to enjoy the landscape.
Curiosity, and listening to a co-worker argue over travel plans and cost.

It's the cheapest way to go now, too, since gas is so cheap. Do you like road trips?

[ Like Clark tends to do anyway. ]
I do, depending on the situation.

So what's the ideal situation?
