Not by stalking you, and I think I've got the wrong guy. I was looking for a science or math person.

Jane's a determined woman, Tony's a determined man, and they've got Asgard magicky things on their side.

[Completely nonchalant shrug about it]

They sent me because I'm less likely to get all superhero on you.

It was kind of a lucky guess. [ From a certain point of view. ] I'm sorry if I disturbed you.

[Bruce shook his head and set aside the medical kit he was filling with supplies.]

No it's fine....how can I help you?

[Bruce raises an eyebrow.]

And why do you need a math or science guy?

Meaning you won't threaten the other guy if I get twitchy.

[Bruce sighs and takes his glasses off rubbing his nose.]

What do they want? I did go out of my way not to be found you know.

Well, first I wanted to check if you were okay.

[ He trots closer to look at the supplies, like any inquisitive kid. ]

Are all of these for you?

More like I'm not going to try and convince you that the band's getting back together and they want you on their team.

[Another shrug as she takes a step forth, just walking around, poking at various things; keeping her distance so as not to crowd him. He did say he didn't want to be found.]

Yeah, you did.

[She looks around. Being Jane's assistant has gotten her to some interesting places. This is definitely one of them.]

I've got the feeling you already know what they want and why they sent me.

[Bruce has a sneaking feeling he does know. The fact that Jane was involved with finding him and they sent Darcy means one of two things.]

Thor is in trouble...or Loki is back and gunning for me again. Is it one or both?

[She's not shaken. Not on the outside. Darcy fiddles with another sciency looking thing to calm her nerves.]

Big Thunder's in trouble. Far as I know, Loki's dead.

A complete stranger is worried about me. This never ends well.

[Bruce shakes his head.]

No...the village has little to no medical care or supplies. This is me trying to help.

The phrase Loki and dead is like saying mice and cats get along. They just don't fit.

[Bruce can sense Darcy is afraid and it makes him tense too.]

I don't know what help I can be. The second anyone outside of the Avengers spots me I'm a dead man.

[ He grins a little, leans over to tap the medical kit. Pot, kettle? ] That's something people still do, I guess. Look out for each other, even strangers.

[ Aaand the smile turns into a much more serious look up at the doctor, as the boy settles back on his feet. ]

That's kind of what I wanted to tell you, Dr Banner.

[Less afraid of him, more afraid of whatever it was that took down her Thunder Brother from Another Mother. Immediately, she turns to him when he mentions that he's a dead man]

You? Dead in the water? Not believing it. Look, if regular people like me can do it, you can do it. You're smart, you can do sciencey things like Jane can.

[She drops the tough girl act for a minute]

Look, I don't know what happened and I probably am gonna end up disappearing if I ever find out, but you need to help out Thor, okay? It's not a question of can you or will you; you need to. It's freaking me out. Because as far as I'm concerned: no one and nothing can take down Thor.

Because that increases the chance that I find a physicist, or someone close enough to being one. For, um, homework. Even a grad student could help, but I'm no grad. Not even an undergrad yet.
