"I'm not sure." Lynn admitted "I think it's because they're so far away
and it takes so long for us to see it that everything is dead. My Mom is
weird."
"Oh." Ara's brows knitted together, puzzling over the notion. "They can die up there? But the moon shines every night... At least she doesn't sound mean." She chewed on the corner of her lip, careful to keep the two sharp points on each side hidden. "Would you like to use my telescope? You can see it much better."
"It's reflecting from the sun." Lynn explains "My Mom is nice, too nice.
You can meet her one day and you'll see. She knows all about lots of
things." She smiled when her friend offered the telescope. "Yes! Thank
you, you're awesome!"
"I didn't know that. Do you learn about them from lessons?" Astronomy was a sparse subject for her and not one covered well in any of her lessons either aside from the Moon's effects on Lycans and she already knew all of that."How can she be too nice? Well... If she is nice then I would like to meet her too then, especially if she is smart." Ara piped up with a smile, rubbing at the ragged scar hidden burning faintly under her long sleeve.
Ara stepped out of the way so Lynn could look too. "You're welcome!" Her cheeks were a light shade of red at the kind words. Opening her bag, the girl dumped her provisions out to watch the moon that was slowly being covered up. "I brought some candy too."
"Yeah, my Mom is trying to teach me what they're all called too, and the constellations but I'm not going to learn all of them. But you can meet her one day soon. She'll like you."
Lynn looked through the telescope "Wow! I never looked through one of these. This is nice!" At the mention of candy, however, she stepped away from the telescope to see what kind of treats her friend had packed.
