[But then she recovers from the shock of being called "ma'am" by a boy her own age, and she offers him a small smile again.] Oh indeed? Very nice... So: if I may ask, what does Petrelli mean in Italian? I mean...

Sorry, I should introduce myself. [She holds out her bony little hand, clearly intending to offer a handshake.] I'm Maria Selwyn. I want to say that Selwyn means "Friend of the Castle", I think... Though of course, I never was too interested in my own family history; the people I meet tend to have far more interesting family stories!

Nice to meet you, miss Selwyn. Petrelli is a derivative of Peter which means rock. Funny thing is I have an uncle named Peter so his name means rock rock.
