(It didn't take long for Mark to see that something different had appeared outside of the HAB. On a planet of red? A blue box is pretty noticeable. He stands there frowning in thought before reaching out and touching it.)
So, either this thing is real or I'm really, really losing my touch on reality. Damn potatoes.
[It was a standard british police box, or so it looked. Made of wood, no less. No drag marks around it, it must have more or less appeared out of nowhere.
Inside, the Doctor was dragging himself off the floor, waving away the smoke from the console. This would have to happen, just as he was leaving Earth. He flicks a few switches, giving the console a slap or two, trying to get it airborne again.
Nothing. Not even a wheeze. He couldn't even get the window open to see where he was. With a sigh, he grabs his hat off the coatrack, which was laying down on the floor, and pulled the unlock-the-door switch.]
Mags was walking towards the nearest town from the circus when an oddly familiar blue box materialized in the field she was passing through. She smiles to herself as she changes direction, walking toward it. She stops about 10 feet away and folds her hands in front of her, waiting patiently.]
[Well, this is an odd thing to see on Asgard. Sif dismounts from her steed, taking careful steps toward the strange box. It reminds her of something Midgardian in nature, but why would it be here?]
[It's a few moments before the door opens, the Doctor coming out. Whistling a tune as he locks the door behind him, a beach umbrella over one shoulder. Obviously thinking that he had landed on Garis 3, the vacation spot of the 23rd century.
However, the tune slows to a stop when he sees the planet. And the person standing there, seemingly to wait for him.]
[He had definitely taken a wrong turn. The box had crash landed before materializing on it's side. Inside, the Doctor was crawling towards the console, trying to get his hand to the button to right the Tardis. Unfortunately, he hit the button to open the door instead.]
[She's honestly not certain what to make of the different person walking out of the blue box. She'd only ever known one Doctor, and wasn't exactly knowledgeable on the details of Time Lords or regeneration.]
Are you looking for a beach?
[That's not to say she won't try to be friendly. She's an entertainer after all.]
Unfortunately there's no beaches on this side of the planet. Just forests, towns and gravel pits. There is a circus in town, though, if you're looking for something to do.
[The door opening upwards has Sif pulling her sword, taking a half a step back before regaining her confidence. She strides forward, peering within contraption. She's familiar enough with magic and technology, but seeing how spacious it is within still fills her with wonder.]
[Hopefully she doesn't try to climb in the door, she'll find the gravity pulling her to the floor....which right now is perpendicular to the wall. It would be quite a fall.
The Doctor puts out a hand quickly, sliding a bit as he's dangling off the console.]
[He doesn't seem so bad, but she's not about to go spilling everything to a stranger.]
But I'm happy now, and I have friends to help me too. I know you said you had to leave, but if you ever come across the Psychic Circus again, you're welcome to visit. Anyone who's a friend of the Doctor... [She smirks quietly at herself, realizing who he claims to be.] ...sorry.
[That's not the most normal thing to hear from someone she just met, but Mags is a clever sort. After a few moments of looking confused the pieces sort of fall into place. Partially. The "how" is a bit confusing to her, but she's seen enough to suspend disbelief.]
[He starts in with the no no, I'm fines but a shift in the Tardis causes him to slip further, holding onto a railing. Which looks a little silly when it's sideways.]
Actually, some assistance would be appreciated.
[Now how could she help him? If she steps in, she'll fall to the floor. If she reaches in, anything she puts inside the Tardis would be effected by its gravity. However, if she found a stick long enough....she might be able to pull him out.]

Might as well do things the old fashioned way.
[And with that, he opens the door.]

The direct question did help to cut through the falsehoods he was trying to bluff his way with.]
Actually, yes. I...don't suppose you would know the way?

[He unlocks the Tardis to throw the umbrella in, taking his hat instead.]

[She's fishing, trying to see if maybe he knew the Doctor, or...]
I'm Mags.
no subject
Mags, how do you do. I'm the Doctor.
no subject
The Doctor? [She looks back to the TARDIS.] Is, is Ace....?
no subject
Ace? ....no, that is a blue box.
[Nothing more.]
no subject
I know that ship. There's nothing like it.
[Mags tilts her head as she looks at him.]
But you're not The Doctor. Not the one I know.
no subject
....oh no. No no no, not good.
[He backs up towards the Tardis. He really, really needs to leave. Quickly.]
Perhaps the circus can wait. Thank you anyway.
no subject
Wait! Please! I just want to understand what's going on.
no subject
This is incredible.
no subject
Nothing! Nothing is going on. I was just leaving is all....
[If he could just get the door unlocked, it's hard with her pulling on his jacket.]
no subject
The Doctor puts out a hand quickly, sliding a bit as he's dangling off the console.]
Wait, no, stop! Don't come in!
no subject
Please, Doctor... [She's a bit surprised how easily that comes out.]
The Doctor I know saved my life. If you know him, I just want to thank him, and let him know how much he's done for me.
no subject
....thank you....I'll tell him.
no subject
It's been a few years since we met, but just let him know I'm doing well.
no subject
Were you not doing well before?
[Great question, Doctor. Way to go.]

[Yes. Timelines = complicated.]
See...I haven't exactly...met you yet.
no subject
You do not require assistance?
no subject
Oh. I didn't realize...
no subject
Actually, some assistance would be appreciated.

no subject
Yes well...of course you didn't. Most people don't.
no subject
I'm sorry, Doctor. It's not every day you meet someone when they're younger than you last saw them.
