I think I'm in big trouble.

Are you ok?
mia_j: (unsure)

Wait, were you already at his house or with your relatives?
mia_j: (frown)

Do you need someplace to go? I assume you've tried calling your dad.

Do you need someplace to stay in the meantime? I can send someone to pick you up and take you to my place. I'm kind of out of town on business right now.

They'll be at your location soon. Keep your cell phone on. They're two guys, their names are Thomas and Robert. They're kind of military, so they might seem a bit gruff or stern, but they're actually quite nice. They're gonna take you to my townhouse and stay with you inside until your dad gets back. Unless you want them to watch you at your dad's?

They're gonna call me when they arrive so you know they're the right guys. Does that sound okay?

Yes. But what's going on?? Is someone hurting you?

Dammit. A friend of your relatives?

The guys'll be parked down the street at [this intersection] in a dark sedan. They'll be standing outside the car so you can see them. You wait until I've confirmed it's them before you get in that car.

Seriously, kid, what is going on??
mia_j: (looking back)

[personal profile] mia_j 2015-12-12 06:50 am (UTC)(link)
Trust me. I've pretty much seen it all. And if I haven't yet dealt with what you're talking about, I'll owe you $20. So you have nothing to lose, do you?
mia_j: (confused)

[personal profile] mia_j 2015-12-12 06:58 am (UTC)(link)
....Okay your dad told me the first part, but NOT that your mom's coven was the relatives you live with. What the kriff Alex, nice going.

Get out. Now. Start walking towards that intersection at the end of the block if you haven't already.

[Mutters to herself for a minute, some of it sounds like it might in a different language.]

You and I are going to have a talk, kid. If you don't tell your dad, you and me are gonna have a talk about how to tell him.
mia_j: (looking up/curious)

[personal profile] mia_j 2015-12-12 07:24 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, maybe, kinda, but better that he knows so he can help keep you safe. And you're not living with your mom's cousins anymore. At all. You're living with your dad, and if I haven't found a housekeeper/nanny person before he goes out of town again, you're staying with me. And if for some reason I'm not back in town yet, I'll find a safe place for you.

But I really doubt your dad will go out of town again for a while after this.

This is terrifying and you aren't even my kid! I should come back to Detroit. Did you decide whether you're going to my place or your dad's?

My place is incredibly secure. Once you get there with them, I'll let you guys in remotely.

I thought he was already on his way back? Damn, I'll call him.

My friends are staying with you until your dad arrives.

It's okay. I texted and left him a voicemail letting him know the basics.

I had to look that up. I'm glad you're out. Thomas and Robert are there now and they'll stay with you.

Please don't trash my new place.

I know, I was mostly joking. Kind of. A little bit.

You're a kid, but you seem like a good kid.
