[Oh, that. Well. No comment. It's not worth it. It would lead to him living with Otters again. Not that there was anything wrong with otters, just, he's already done that.]
Climb it? I don't understand.
[Not playing idiot. He really doesn't get what she's hinting at.]
[She rolled her eyes. He was really playing it down today. Perhaps his ego did need a bit of fluffing. She leaned over and kissed his cheek quickly. She didn't know yet how to expect this new face to react to such things.]
I'll explain it to you when you're older, sweetie. Now tell me, what does a wife have to do to wipe that darling pout off her husband's face?
[She does love when she can surprise him. Her. Surprising the Doctor. It was always a pleasant feeling. And why shouldn't she love to show affection to him? It didn't matter the body. The Doctor was the Doctor. Her Doctor. Husband, most definitely. ]
And it's a lovely grumpy frown. Such fierceness in this face. I must admit, it is growing on me more and more.
[Which meant it just made her want to kiss him more and more but it looked like it was back to baby steps.]
Now why would you want to be the Good Cop when playing Bad Cop is so much fun, don't you think?
[He will wiggle them just a bit. His level of flirting. He won't even tell her he's not flirting - they're married, after all, flirting is perfectly acceptable.]
Being the Bad Cop is a great deal of fun. Of course it is. But not every time. Sometimes I like to change things up.
[ River teases, though she really is loving them. It's always fun, seeing the Doctor with a new face. Thankfully, he at least recognizes her. It really kill her when he doesn't. She rests her elbow on his shoulder and teases her fingers through his hair. ]
Such fine curly locks you have too. You've almost got them as curly as mine.
[ Change up? Like adding a few decades? He does look so distinguished. ]
We all do, sweetie. Maybe we should go catch Al Capone and see which one of us he thinks is better suited for 'Bad Cop', hm?
I'm debating how far to push this, I don't want to go OOC but we have nothing yet...
[He's trying really hard not to squirm when she - well touches him like that. It's not as hard as it used to be. Partly because it's River, but also because he's gotten used to a bit of touch in this body.]
They come and go. Depends on how much I let my hair grow out.
[So, really, they don't come and go, they only look like they do.]
Him, or Marlon Brando in his "Godfather" days. Fantastic actor. Too bad he was American - might be the greatest actor ever, if not for being born in the wrong country.
[The Doctor had taken awhile to warm up to her. Once she had him, only to have him change again, it was difficult to go back to what they had. TimeLords. They were such teases. River smiled in understanding and withdrew her hand, even leaning away to give him his space. He'd warm up to her eventually. They had time. She hoped.]
Oh I don't know. I thought Elvis was a lot of fun. So cheeky. And those hips. They could make a lesser woman swoon, I tell you.
[She leans back, kicking one leg over the other and dangling a heel off the edge of her foot. Casual like.]
What about Egypt then? We could pay Cleo another visit?
We'll just keep plugging away and see what happens XD
[Oh. He hadn't meant for her to completely back away - even if a small part of himself was glad for the space. He raises an eyebrow at her Elvis comment.]
River, I hate to tell you, when it comes to swooning, you are a lesser woman.
[No, wait. He meant that as a teasing sort of positive thing. He makes her swoon, he doesn't make anyone swoon. But she swoons for him...]
Boring, we've done that. Could meet up with the Brothers Grimm. Haven't played darts in ages.
[ She had learned many things from the Doctor. A list was needed to go through them all. Mainly? Patience. She had loads of it. River sighed dreamily, remembering that young and tan and dark-haired man with his sultry voice. ]
Ohh, yes, that I am.
[ Come now. Elvis? Of course, she was just as good at making legs turn to jelly as he was. ]
The Brothers? They are always good for hijinks and mayhem. Yes, lets!
[ Naturally, River's version of a good time did end up far more troublesome than the Doctor's. On occasion anyhow.]
[ She takes his hand eagerly, if not a bit firmly. Honestly, she's happy with any physical contact with him. Whatever he gives her, she won't turn away. ]
Hm. Where, indeed! All of time and space to take those boys. Do you think they would like dinosaurs? You know how I love those little Raptors.
Was there some part of "Time zones" that I didn't speak clearly enough? I don't think Raptors would be good.
[But that gets him thinking and he starts to flip dials and uses the keyboard it input data.]
However, Fideon. Might be just the place. It has pubs similar to early 19th Century England, but as an outpost planet, plenty of alien life forms as well.
Oooh, come on now! Wouldn't it be fun to just bend time a little?
[Of course she knows its dangerous but what was life without it? If they did just a wee bit, they could put it back right where they left it! No harm done! She followed him around the console, all hair and eyes and eagerness.]
Besides, what an amazing fairy tale that could turn out to be!
[She sees that he's taken a part of her suggestion and running with it and honestly, that's enough for her. She grins and plants herself firmly against the console as the Tardis twirled them through time and space.]
Pubs, oh yes! I do love a good drunken galavant. Do you suppose they'd have karaoke?
[The Tardis moves and it's like heaven. There really is nothing like it in the world, moving with the Tardis. Like a gentle rocking. Unless the Doctor was driving and sometimes left the brakes on.]
Oh you should! I didn't know you played guitar. You really are a rockstar god, aren't you?
[Just the two of them? Was this turning into a proper date?]
If it's just us then, should I change into something more time appropriate?
