Thinking about shaving off the scruff.
Because I could.
It takes me a long time to grow it because of my fey blood, but when I was human it came a lot faster so I was amused enough to keep it.

So it wasn't because you were lazy? Did you take a picture of yourself with it?
I suppose not. It was the novelty value. I do a beard sometimes too. Little one on the chin. Though I only tend to grow those when I have an easier time growing hair. Otherwise it's just not worth it.

[He gets a mildly thoughtful look on his face... it'd be tricky to pull of and he'd not be able to do it for a while, but it'd totally be worth all the trouble he'd get in for drawing a heart on his Al... on Vahl's forehead while he's asleep and taking a picture of it.] And it is considered polite to ask before you take someone's picture.

[Well that's good. He takes the picture and looks it over, trying to remember his dad skills. But he's been in teenager mode pretty much the entire time he's been here so it's hard.]

"Because my boyfriend might shave it off for me," Alec said wryly. Not that he thinks that would actually happen, but it's amusing to say.

I thing by the time I managed a hipster beard they'd be out of fashion.

They're already out of fashion, but it would still be better than scruff.

At least, it takes me forever. Out of all the realities I've visited, I've only found a handful where I can grow a decent beard and considering I visit a lot of realities, that's saying something.
