[The food is terrible, the plumbing and electricity is archaic... the technology is stone age... what have you done to the air... Never mind the fact that we haven't bee able to lay eyes on our target...]

I'm doing okay, I suppose.

[She just wants to be super nice!]

Do you still like chocolate? I don't actually have a lot to say, but wanted to be friendly since you're a guest.

[It's very nice of her! And he just feels a little awkward since he's supposed to be ... not socializing. But Daly has been a bit trying so...]

Yes, I do still like chocolate. It's not something that goes away.

[He smiled a little.]

[She offers him a bar of really good chocolate. ]

Oh good! I never know, mostly because my memory is terrible unless I take really good notes.

You're not from here so you're totally a guest. I'd invite you for dinner but I can't cook and everyone that I know who can is indisposed.

[He unwraps the chocolate carefully, not tearing.]

[All extra-senses aside, Pandora can't help by be curious when anyone's writing with that sort of focus. She drifts closer, trying to get a peek over his shoulder.]

[Weyland is a bit ... odd sensing for someone like her. He's part vampire and part elf... as well as human. He's also not from around now.

He's writing notes about what seems to be about a temporal mess. It's in a short hand and the book itself is able to take in more notes than it should be able to. Every time he finishes a page, the words vanish and a clean one appears without him having to turn a page.]

[Well. She's got no correlations for those colors, and the edges of him are a merry mess of them. Nothing to do about that just yet. Poking at what someone is requires time and focus.

Which she has less of as she tries to get a gauge on his writing. Finally, she just huffs.] Science or magic?

[He jumps at her voice and slams the book close.]

I didn't mean to be! I like rules, unless they're unfair or impossible to follow. But, some chaos is inevitable. Even in chaos, there is order. I have notes on that too. I have some papers on chaos theory if you'd like.

Yes! I transcribed my travel journal. It's on a flash drive, so you'll probably have to convert the file. I'm not sure what format you're supposed to have your files in.

Some pages were missing in my notebooks, and I have marked the locations in the files. I also included a summary file. Sorry, I like writing reports. I started a database but realized you might not have the software to read it. No childhood records are included as that was before I started keeping records. Some before I had a working memory. Not that it works now. But who has a memory as a newborn?

But I like writing these things.

[Pandora wrinkles her nose, the corner of her mouth curling as she rolls her eyes. It's an 'of course it is' sort of expression.] How classified can 'science or magic' be?

Yes. It can be quite classified. It can tell you quite a bit about someone.

Where they might from, what sort of person they are. I mean a person who wears a suit gives a different impression than someone who wears jeans and a t-shirt.

[Weyland is wearing a suit. It fits mostly very well. He's also a paper pusher, clerk, regulator and bureaucrat. He likes his rules and regulations.]

Your obfuscation tells me more than that. After all, you could have just lied.

I know. But.. .we have rules... hopefully to try and prevent this sort of thing.

[He sounds vaguely apologetic.]

But why would you want to give us this information?

[Completely baffled look.]

[A small shrug.] It's a more effective method than 'it's classified' [That's his voice, his words, she's giving back to him. It can be a little eerie, that sort of playback coming from her lips.]

It's hard for me to follow some rules. I try to but sometimes I just disappear and end up somewhere else. I am going to stop doubling back, and doing these things on purpose, if I can. It's just really hard because of my origins.

And I might have broke too many rules and might not agree with some, but your paperwork needs to be accurate. And, it's nice being able to have a time stamp. But really, I'm hard to trace and you need to have accurate records. Do you all use graphs and charts for the data? Has anyone done research, or are you just purely fines and violations? It would be fascinating research.
