I don't think we even knew what gluten was in the 40s.

[In his defence he only knows Captain America by their on-screen/masked persona, in fact it's all time favorite. He isn't aware of the connection between that persona and Stella yet. Although gears are starting to turn in his brain. Reagrdless he takes her hand and gives it a hearty shake.]

I was looking for a job at the café across the street from here. I didn't get it. Yourself? If you don't mind me asking.

I live around here. Or I used to. I actually grew up around the corner from here. Most of my time is spent upstate now, but every once and while...Brooklyn calls me home.

I'm not from here myself. I just sort of ended up here after I moved from home. What'd you do for a living? If you doesn't mind me asking.

I can shape and shatter rock and earth. I haven't had much training... and I was never sent to the Xavier Institute though.

Did we even have gluten in the 40s? I mean it existed, obviously. But I don't think I ever once heard anyone use that word.

Yeah, I'm sure it's one of those things people have always known about. But for some reason, people are scared of it these days.

[He understands people have medical issues with it, but a lot of people seemed to have decided that it was bad.]
