It's pretty far. I've been moving a box at a time and using Uber or the subway.

Yeah, well. Unfortunately the city isn't entirely bent on letting me even take a driving test. Transit it is.

Why don't you get fake id?

Won't change the fact that I look blind. Not sure if I'm up for proving a technology that isn't quite existing yet.

[ a sigh ] I'll have to eventually.

What's stopping you from using color contacts?

Other than the fact that I don't have pupils and they emit a faint glow?

[ mind you the glow IS faint. He laughs a bit. ] Its fine. I'll get over the nervousness eventually.

If they can make people look like their eyes look like yours, then you can do a little research on how to make yours look like everyone else's. Most people don't even care as long as you look close enough to normal. And you do, so occasional sunglasses work.

I didn't say I couldn't fox it, did I? [ his smile returns. Its resources. He'll figure it all out. In time. Right now he just wants to live without being under constant supervision for a little not.
