It fires ionized gas at a temperature of 10.000 Kelvin, accelerated to close to the speed of light. A few burst from this bad boy will melt away conventional armor. I'm really tempted to see how effective it's against wendigos. And if that doesn't work I got an even bigger gun.

It actually does heat up the air considerably for a brief moment. However air molecules doesn't combust. Methane gas on the other hand... let's just say that a high powered weapon like this isn't recommended for use in swamps.
