Do you wish to know how it is used, or how it functions? The first is simple enough to explain; you need only look into the water- look, but do not touch. The latter is...more complex. [Understatement of the year. She will make an effort, however, if that is what Tauriel wants.]

Not at all. I would hardly compare my own gifts to the talents of a wizard, for instance. That is precisely my difficulty with the word. I have heard it applied to a great number of practices which I would consider quite different from one another; it is a terribly broad term.

That might be so. I personally would place my talents under witch magic. But I also got lychantrophy which is quite different. Magic, just seems like a good word.

['Witch' and 'lycantropy.' Those are two words which have her eyebrows shooting up almost immediately. She'll tackle the former first.]

I have been called 'witch.' It has seldom been by those who wish me well. Strange to hear another use the term to describe himself.

Those whom follow the Wiccan way is often refereed to as witches, however not in a bad way. I became a slur because of others whom didn't understand, something I'm sure you could see. I personally doesn't follow the Wiccan ways but the ancestor I inherited these powers from did.
