[She gives a brief little nod.] I have heard mortals speak of 'elf-magic' and I believe this is what they mean, but my own people see things in another manner entirely.
[Galadriel chuckled, a smile dancing about her lips.] Then you are wiser than many. The Mirror shows many things, and not all come to pass. I would not ask you to trust blindly, but there is much you may learn, if you wish.
[It's not an unexpected response. Indeed, Galadriel would have been more concerned if Tauriel hadn't been hesitant.]
Do you wish to know how it is used, or how it functions? The first is simple enough to explain; you need only look into the water- look, but do not touch. The latter is...more complex. [Understatement of the year. She will make an effort, however, if that is what Tauriel wants.]
Not at all. I would hardly compare my own gifts to the talents of a wizard, for instance. That is precisely my difficulty with the word. I have heard it applied to a great number of practices which I would consider quite different from one another; it is a terribly broad term.
That might be so. I personally would place my talents under witch magic. But I also got lychantrophy which is quite different. Magic, just seems like a good word.
Those whom follow the Wiccan way is often refereed to as witches, however not in a bad way. I became a slur because of others whom didn't understand, something I'm sure you could see. I personally doesn't follow the Wiccan ways but the ancestor I inherited these powers from did.

I have been called 'witch.' It has seldom been by those who wish me well. Strange to hear another use the term to describe himself.
