I cannot deny that every breath is sweet after so long gasping for air. Tuberculosis is a horrible thing. It's just that I'm somewhat lonely these days, on account of the fact that I eat most of the people I meet.

Oh, occasionally. Most of them are either annoyingly moral or not very friendly, however. Not that I haven't made a few friends--even one or two human friends, although I have to be careful with those. Don't want to get hungry and devour them, eh?
